A professor who shot dead three workers at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, wrote a 15-page theory on the Zodiac killer and posted about ‘powerful organizations bent on global domination.’
Anthony Polito, 67, died in a confrontation with police after he opened fire on the fourth floor of the Lee Business School at 11:45am, prompting a massive response from law enforcement.
Officials are still looking into a motive but said Polito was rejected from a teaching position at the school and may have known someone there. Police are currently searching Polito’s home in Henderson, Nevada.
Polito, who used a handgun in the massacre, had connections to schools in other states and was on staff at East Carolina University in North Carolina between 2001 and 2017.
