NOTHING LIKE A LITTLE POT TO CLEAR THE MIND

THIS ONE SAYS IT ALL.  NO COMMENT NEEDED.  SSS

PHOENIX – Phoenix police say a man tried to steal an ambulance left running outside a house fire but he didn’t get very far. Police spokesman Sgt. Tommy Thompson says 28-year-old Travis Ward took the vehicle, which was unlocked and had its keys in the ignition. It had been left running early Sunday to keep cool for anyone seeking medical care. Thompson says Ward drove the ambulance for a few blocks, striking a post, a fence and parked cars. He says the man told police he had used marijuana before the incident.

Ward was booked on suspicion of theft and criminal damage. It was not immediately known whether he has a lawyer.

Amusing story. He should be prosecuted for stealing the ambulance.

Don’t drunk guys do stupid stuff like that too?

Shouldn’t we criminalize Corona?

I bet if we spent $45 billion per year on the War on Drugs instead of only $40 billion, we could have stopped that dude from stealing the ambulance.

This “article” would be better suited for Funny Friday.

The pic of Travis Ford …. he looks like a FUN guy! I’d love to have a beer or a toke with him.

.
.
On a more serious note …

A Texas woman (pic below) has been arrested and charged with second degree murder. Her crime? Overdosing her 6-year-old with cough syrup and dumping his dead body.

If only the USA would outlaw cough syrup, this woman’s son would still be alive. Pass a law!! Pass a law!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to reread the last sentence of the story as I first thought it said “It was not immediately known if he WAS a lawyer.

My bad.

Just because something is illegal, dangerous or unhealthy does not mean people will not use/participate/try whatever it is. You can not legislate morality and you cannot control free will.

A couple of meth addicts came to my house on Friday afternoon.

Two people. One white guy, one white girl. The girl was maybe 5’3”, less than 100 lbs. Awful disintegrating teeth, and I could smell her breath from 3 feet away. Both of them were heavily inspecting my son’s stroller, which my wife leaves out on our porch, when I opened the front door.

Methy1: “Hi, we’re raising money for my school volleyball team. We’re in the finals and we need money to make it down to Florida, the finals are in Disneyland. Have you ever been to Disneyland?”
Me: “Umm… no…”
Methy1: “Oh, well, also when you donate 15% of the proceeds go to support the troops. Here’s a list of magazines they are asking for.”
[hands me two pieces of paper, each in a plastic sleeve. Pretty much just lists shit mags… Maxim, Life and Fitness, blah blah blah. Her eyes are darting all over the place]
Me: “So this is for the troops, then?”
Methy1: “Oh no, no! This is for my volleyball team, we’re really excited about the finals. Look, your neighbors have been donating…”
[Pulls out a small stack of 20’s, and also pulls out some carbon paper to make it look like she has receipts or some shit]
Me: “Not interested.” [they leave, I close my door.]

My neighbors got robbed last week. Their car was broken into, and the GPS and some bluetooth headphones were jacked. I’ll bet that is where they got those 20’s. These people were NOT volleyball players, I can tell you that much.

SO… Legalize drugs?

This is the same bullshit that people interviewing Ron Paul ask. “Wait, you mean, you would LEGALIZE HEROIN????” Then Ron Paul says yes, in a free society, we would be allowed to do what we want.

So, these methheads, who are robbing my neighborhood, and actively casing it out… It makes me wonder how I feel about legalizing all drugs. Do I care that they are doing meth? Not really. Do I care that they are robbing and casing out my neighborhood? Yes. Would legalizing meth make them go away? I don’t know… they would still need to rob for money to pay for it, right? Why would anyone get into meth in the first place? Sigh…

I called the cops to tell them to step up patrols in my hood for unlicensed solicitors that look like fucking meth addicts. We’ll see if they make their presence known. I sleep with my .40 loaded next to my bed now. Used to be in my safe – fuck that. Also trying to get my moron family to lock the doors and windows of the house and cars. Somehow, still a lot of resistance.

We have spent all this money for “fighting drugs” and received what for it? Are we any better of than we were in the early 70’s? Are less drugs being used? Prohibition worked right (NOT)? Why not legalize it and see what happens and SSS when I was in Nam, who was running the drugs out of Laos and Burma, by plane no doubt; I really think drugs will NEVER be legalized as too many “higher” people have too much to lose, just my 2 cents worth.

Golf is a gateway drug…

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/06/20/gop-lawmaker-gets-drunk-steals-truck-wrecks-it-then-takes-nap/

State Sen. John McGee, currently the majority caucus chair for the Idaho State Senate, had been drinking on a golf course late Saturday night, when he apparently decided to leave on foot.

After walking for miles without shoes, he came upon a truck and trailer that had its keys inside.

He didn’t get far though: Residents of the neighborhood were alarmed around 3 a.m. to discover the truck jackknifed in the back yard of a home down the street.

SSS:
one of many articles:

“A major source for the Frontline piece was Ron Rickenback, who headed up the U.S. Aid and Development Program (USAID) in Laos. Rickenback says he witnessed drugs being transported from outlying areas in Laos aboard U.S. Air America aircraft, which was then put on larger aircraft for shipment to southern Laos and Thailand. Air America was on contract with the CIA.”

You can agree or disagree, that is your call, but is seems the CIA does have a ‘dark side” and it may of started back in WW II with Sicily and Italy, but again, just my two cents worth and welcome home from that crazy Asian war.

The CIA has been replaced by banksters, who control foreign governments/politicians by first loaning them money, then owning them with debt.

The great thing, at least at this moment, in the USA is, we can agree to disagree; you have your feelings about not legalizing drugs, I have mine about legalizing them, there are pros and cons on both sides; however, fact is, since 1970 and Nixon’s war on drugs, have we won the drug war, have we reduced the use of drugs and what has the cost been in lives and money and what has been accomplished? Would we of had drug wars, etc had it been legalized? Why not legalize it, put the money into drug re-hab centers and see what happens, would it be any worse than what we currently deal with, over crowded prisons, the money we spend trying to contain it. Did prohibition work, is our war on drugs working? SSS, we can agree to disagree, just two old vets discussing issues.

KB I have never smoked pot. -sss

Thanks for answering the question.
~~~
And so what if had? Does this invalidate my warnings against illegal drugs and drug trafficking? Bill Clinton never “inhaled,” yet he increased budgets to fight illegal drugs. Did he finally grow a pair vis a vis illegal drugs? Yes, he did. -sss
I dont care if you did. What I do notice is that people who have never smoked most often group it in with hard core drugs when its effects are not the same. I think if you had tried it you wouldnt be so gung ho to crminalize people for smoking it. As for Clinton he is a politician and most are hypocrites IMO.
~~~

So what’s your fucking point in asking that question. Showing up SSS as a hypocrite? You lose, pardner. -sss

No. I think I answered that above.
