Ask him whether it bothers him that 80 year old widows who had a life savings of $100,000 spinning off $5,000 of interest in 2007 to help her survive have been getting $150 per year since he instituted his policies to save Wall Street bankers.
I understand he gets $250,000 for one hour speaking engagements now. More than he made in an entire year as Fed Chairman.

It’s just a personal opinion, but Ben didn’t appear to be an evil person to me.
He got hit by surprise in a vicious financial meltdown and did what he was supposed to do, save and repair the system; and quickly, there was little time for long range planning and thinking. The entire system was on the verge of shutting down completely.
With the ability of hindsight we can see the problems and injustices the methods employed produced. Things most likely could have been done more fairly and more equitably.
Greenspan, however, and his mumbo jumbo Greenspeak Bull Shit is another matter entirely. He is the real culprit in my opinion. who handed Ben a bag of shit and went into hiding.

Ask him why he thinks deflation is caused by consumer hoarding their money expecting prices to drop when deflation really happens after customers cannot afford prices and run out of money because of inflation. Then businesses cannot sell their products and start undercutting each others prices causing the deflation spiral. I would also like to know why he thinks deflation is the primary cause of the Great Depression when in reality bank closures (leading to a low velocity of money) and the Dust Bowl (leading to no fucking food) were big contributors to the woes of the 1930s.

My town has built two underground buildings/shelters under the guise of other building (I would bet it is going on nationwide), but the excavation of dirt/hole were around ten times larger than what seemed to be necessary for the eventually erected builds.

Bernanke was no doubt on the team, but in my view was not running the show. He is no saint, that’s for sure, but my honest opinion is the true evil and bad doings were the work of others.
