Everyone looks at Atlas Shrugged to find some sort of meaning in the madness of our times. In my opinion, you just need to keep it simple. Start with Rand’s first fictional work, Anthem, and you will see why it is so important to change the appearance of those things most familiar to us.

You will also so why certain words and terms are banned to the point of NEVER being used.

Anthem is easily read by even middle school children, since it has no vulgarity in it. It is a book about Equality who finds something in a little tunnel (formerly a sewer line, we presume) that changes his life in the futuristic world Rand created where names are accompanied by numbers since there are only a dozen or so names to be issued. Eventually, he thinks that he will share his “electric light” with the Science bureau in order to help society. He dreams that they will recognize that he might be something more than a street cleaner.

They sentence him to die and he escapes with Liberty, a young goat tender he had made eye contact with a few times while she was out near the fence as he walked by patrolling for trash on the street.

They discover a world where no one tells them what they have to think. And ultimately, they discover the meaning of the banned and forbidden word “I.”

Ego is much more than pride.

The loss of something as fundamentally familiar as Jackson’s face on a twenty dollar bill, which is the lifeblood of our economy, is profound.

When I say “lifeblood” I hope you realize I am talking about it being the bill most used and handed around when paying cash. Or when your kid says they need money… here’s a twenty. Or when you pay the babysitter for a few hours sitting with the kid.

Now it is to be a picture of a stranger we have been told we must honor.

The world Ruling Elite know very well those things they do, how they work, and what they intend by it.

You can go along with it or not as you choose, but at least be aware of it while you make that choice.

Paranoid…..

So when the Treasury says it is “out of money” and welfare gets
cut the people can be mollified by the the thought Tubman WOULD
have been put on the $20. bill…but alas…no $ to do so. The whites
took all the $ and hid it offshore.

Thanks for the Antham/Ayn Rand reference…I did not know about that book.

I think the intent was to replace Jackson on the 20 dollar bill all along…I was the first to suggest a New 25 Dollar Note for Commemorative…No One Heard My Calls…Mike In Ct

Suzanna, in my opinion, it is the best one. I’ve read them all, including We the Living, her first foray into fiction, which is said to be the closest to a biographical novel she came.

Anthem is really the simplified version of them all, though she called it the first leg of the three-book journey.

Have a contest for the best design. I’d kill several birds with one stone and put MLK on the 5 USW (US Welfare Coupon) with Obama bowing his head into MLK’s crotch and Sharpton kissing MLK’s butt; put the First Tranny on the rear; make it pink and purple with a Red Star and a Hammer and Sickle on the Left; spell all words IAW Ebonics. I can’t lose!
