I’m dead-drunk after the tequila question, to many to choose from with this one.

In all honesty? Not very much. Overall I’ve led a pretty charmed life thus far. There are a few piddly little things I wish had been different but they were not my doing……they were just little curve balls of life that unroll like a carpet as we circle the Sun……some good, some bad. I still don’t know what I want to do for a living but I’m happy with the work I’ve done over my life. Looking back with 50 year old eyes I think high energy physics or controlled demolition would have been fine careers.
If I had the opportunity though I’d have learned more about our monetary system and how it is controlled to put us at a disadvantage. Had I known that at 18, I would have led a different life or planned for my future a bit differently.
I may not be rich, gorgeous or have a giant schlong but I’m a happy man and I’ll stand pat with the hand I was dealt. By casual comparison it could have been soooo much worse!

Done what the Gospel says to do and less what it says not to do.

I would choose a different career and probably emigrate from the US after college. Australia / NZ sounds interesting, or maybe try to make my fortune in the steep rise of Asia between the 90’s and now.
Failing that, I would have taken a different first real job (among the offers I actually had) and go to a different, nicer city than where I went.

Maw and Paw Stucky: “Pack your Lederhosen, kleine Stucky. Vee are mooving to Amereeka!”
Stucky: “Fuck you, assholes. I’m staying here in Salzburg!!!”
That’s what I would do differently.

No. No. No! That not a hot girl in a dirndl. That’s the lesser Skanky Kalifornia Slut wearing a Kalifornicated dirndl.
This is much better:

I would have chosen richer parents. Or, better, arranged Fate such that my own parents were richer; goodness knows they deserved it, hard as they worked. Or possibly that they were Buddhist, since all human suffering comes from ignorance and attachment, and the younger I had learned that the less suffering my life would have held.

Buy Apple stock at $7/share and sell at $600. Then buy an island in the Pacific.

I would have gotten an engineering degree
Would not drink or smoke or do any drugs
Would have slowed down and enjoyed the people, the times and just “be in the moment” more
Had more children
As life is now, my greatest joy is my dear grandchildren. Being around kids and part of their lives is what makes life joyful. I am grateful that I didn’t kill myself before now with all the stupid stuff I did as a young baby boomer involving drugs, alcohol and cigarettes.

If I did anything of importance different than I did I wouldn’t be who I am.
Since I am happy with who I am, I wouldn’t do anything different than I did even if it means living all the mistakes , unhappiness and strife over again as well as all the good times.
Except maybe take better care of my feet and my teeth, the two things that seem to give me the most irritation in my old age.
*Soak feet in a very warm solution of fifty-fifty vinegar and water
for 15-20 minutes once or twice a day.
*Forgo fluoride toothpaste altogether. It causes gum disease.
Instead use Xyli-White by Now Solutions. Order at Amazon.
Less expensive than eg Total or Crest. Experience your gums
and teeth healing almost immediately.

I would have used the moniker Full Retard from the beginning instead of all those monikers that wore out and bored me right away.
For all you reincarnation freaks . What if Christ is God and hell is real ?.
I would have got a technical degree or learn a good trade.Would have married my high school sweet heart .

Can’t say I would change anything. All those choices, good and bad, led me to where I am today. If I decided to go back and undo one of those bad choices maybe one of those good choices would not have been available to me later on.

1. Save half of everything I earned and lived much more frugally in my youth, instead of occupying overpriced trendy apartments and blowing so much on bling.
2. Made a better career choice, and avoided highly speculative “glamour” fields like the securities industry.
Note that doing no. 1 would have made it easier to resist the temptation of no 2.
Peaceout

I am happy with the journey of life so far and where it may lead in the future so I’m good with my choices, but, since we are playing what if…………..rock star. I think I would have liked to have given that a go. To go from some unknown group driving around doing the hard work to get noticed and create a following. Then breaking out and selling out arenas then stadiums traveling the world the whole bit. Would have been smart along the way with money earned and would have settled into slower paced lifestyle like having a little winery somewhere along the way… ….

Everything here is good with lots of good life choices along the way. This format is a weird form of confession- I’ll play: a do over could have made me a contendah-lol. My 20’s was a lost decade.
I would choose my mother-in-law as my mom and my mom would have the role of the overbearing, strict, emotionally manipulative, daily spanking bully -that she learned at her parents knee- in the role of eccentric and talented auntie.

Beautiful city. And the Salzkammergut. Mozartkugeln not so much. Nothing like a girl in a dirndl to get your blood moving.
