Middle East on brink of full-scale war, Russian envoy to UN warns

UNITED NATIONS, October 14. /TASS/. The Middle East is on the brink of a full-scale war, Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vasily Nebenzya warned.

“The region is on the brink of a full scale war and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe,” he told reporters following a closed-door UN Security Council meeting on the current escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Ancient Solar Storm Discovered In Tree Rings Reveals ‘Catastrophic’ Event 14,000 Years Ago

A new study, based on the analysis of growth rings in ancient trees, suggests that the most powerful solar storm on record slammed into Earth approximately 14,300 years ago. Should a storm of that intensity strike today, modern society would instantly collapse.

Researchers from the Collège de France, CEREGE, IMBE, Aix-Marseille University, and the University of Leeds published the new study in the Royal Society A journal. They measured radiocarbon levels in ancient trees preserved within the eroded banks of the Drouzet River near Gap, in the Southern French Alps, and found “tree trunks, which are subfossils – remains whose fossilization process is not complete – were sliced into tiny single tree-rings. Analysis of these individual rings identified an unprecedented spike in radiocarbon levels occurring precisely 14,300 years ago.”

We are being played. The US wants war with Iran. This is why this “surprise” attack was allowed to occur. The Petro-dollar is threatened as BRICS expands with Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Venezuela perhaps the end of the American Empire is visible. This new conflict is the U.S. effort to somehow remain the hegemon and continue its Full Spectrum Dominance foreign policy. Don’t read American media – Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin has encouraged reporters to read the American media less. The remark came during a press conference in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek in response to a question about reports that the Russian Kant air base in Kyrgyzstan had been abandoned due to the conflict in Ukraine.

“American media outlets are saying that all the equipment is in Ukraine, and that the [Kant] base is deserted,” claimed an Izvestia journalist at the press conference. He did not specify which US outlets had made such claims.

Republican rivals of former President Donald Trump have lashed out at the GOP front-runner for telling a story about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu which put him in a negative light and suggested he’s ‘weak’ at a sensitive moment.

It happened Wednesday night at a campaign rally. Trump was recounting the events and hours leading up to his decision to kill top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani in a 2020 drone strike outside the Baghdad airport. Trump told a cheering crowd that the Israeli prime minister “let us down” by backing out of participation in the covert operation at the last minute. Watch:

It is not too early to discuss Israel’s failures

Hamas is the villain; but strategically and tactically, Israel has made grave mistakes

Last night, I bumped into the mother of a boy my son knows, an Israeli woman who now lives in New York with her kids.

I’m just trying not to stay home, she said. To distract myself. I’m so angry.

She didn’t mean at Hamas. Every Israeli – even liberal, secular ones, like this woman – now understands Hamas is evil and dangerous and must be defeated.

But this woman didn’t see Hamas as worthy of her anger. Hamas is merely the scorpion, more interested in spreading its poison than surviving. No, she’s angry at the frog – at the Israeli government and Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu, its right-wing prime minister. And she is right to be.

Because Hamas didn’t fail last week. It succeeded, in the worst possible way.

Israel – and more specifically Netanyahu – failed.

Can We All Get Along?

I have been throughout the region. I have driven through the West Bank and spoken to both Israelis and Palestinians. I have explored the entire area and even took the first flight between Israel and Egypt when relations began. The common people get along. This documentary, The Heart of Jenin, is a 2008 documentary film written and directed by Marcus Vetter and Leon Geller. This film is important to watch for it reveals the story of Ismael Khatib from Jenin, a Palestinian whose son was shot by Israeli soldiers by mistake because he had a toy gun.

Instead of seeking revenge, he donated his son’s organs to Israeli children. In April 2010, The Heart of Jenin won the German Film Award for Best Documentary Film. What this film shows is the common people – not the political hatred of extremists who live for violence no different than our American Neocons who love war and have no problem sacrificing your children for their political agendas. When Field Marshall Goring was put on trial at Nuremberg, he explained something that is so true, but it is never discussed in school and certainly never by mainstream press, which has become the cheerleader for World War III.
