TBP – ENEMY OF THE FASCIST SURVEILLANCE STATE

I never considered that my dinky little blog would ever draw the attention of anyone other than a few libertarian minded people. We draw about 15,000 visitors per day, which is tiny in comparison to hundreds of popular sites. I do consider my site to be anti-status quo, pro-Constitution, pro-liberty, pro-freedom, anti-neocon, anti-liberal, pro-common sense website.

I believe our country has been captured by a small cadre of powerful, wealthy, psychotic, evil men. I believe we have reached a point of no return. Our system cannot be reformed through the democratic process because the system has been corrupted by the wealth of those in control. True capitalism hasn’t existed since 1913. The masses are controlled through propaganda and entitlements.

We’ve descended into a Brave New World/1984 dystopian nightmare. Developments over the last few weeks have veered heavily towards the Orwellian fascist surveillance state. I’ve never been a big conspiracy theory kind of guy, until this week.

There is no doubt in my mind that TBP is now on the radar screen of the Federal Thugs within the DHS spy complex. From the moment I posted articles in support of a true patriot – Edward Snowden, my site has been under assault. I’ve received multiple emails from people and read dozens of comments on the site describing what has happened.

People with McAfee security now get this message when they try to go to my site:

WARNING: DANGEROUS SITE

Whoa!

Are you sure you want to go there?

People have been accessing my site for four years and have never gotten this message. Suddenly, this week it is dangerous.

Multiple people have told me that their companies suddenly starting blocking my site this week with the message that it is a POLITICAL/ACTIVIST website. The State University of New York blocks my site. The only way this could have happened is if some agency or organization put my website onto some sort of list that corporations and universities could access to decide whether it could be displayed on their servers. Clearly, this was an act of the government. In the world we live in today, a website that criticizes the government is a dangerous entity and must be silenced. This government is not a big fan of free speech.

My own security software gives me a Security Alert every time I try to go onto my own website. Here is the warning:

WEB ATTACK MALICIOUS EXPLOIT KIT WEBSITE

The IP Address of the attacking computer is 188.138.115.108. When I searched this address it is supposedly in Germany. I’ve also gotten messages of attacks from the Ukraine. Is there an entity attacking anyone who tries to access my site or are they trying to scare people away from accessing my site? My site sits on a mainstream American based server company. It is not infected with malware. I can check the diagnostics on the server company’s website. There are no problems, viruses or malware. These warnings are false.

My site has not been throttled by my server company in the last week. My IT guy has taken the site down for maintenance and he says there are no database issues. But, in the last week the number of database error messages and no connection messages have quadrupled versus what was happening prior to this week. I’m sure this is just a coincidence.

I doubt that my website will be accessible within the next year. The government will either force my server company to pull the plug or they will use some legal means to bully me into submission. I had a long discussion with my Computer Science Major son as we drove into work this morning. He has been tasked with figuring out a way for his old man to keep up the fight after the government shuts down my mainstream method of exercising my freedom of speech.

We are clearly descending into a fascist surveillance state. TBP is an enemy of this state.

If these idiots would just use mozilla firefox browser, they wouldn’t be having any of these problems.

Otherwise, I guess we’ll fight on as long as we can. It’s going to be a battle till the end and liberty is restored.

when I use computer at work the antivirus program (NOD) won’t even let website open. I just get a pop up saying website has trojan (can’t recall name} and shuts it down. Like AWD says all I have to do is open it with Firefox. Still seems odd though.

Uh huh.

Firefox 21.0, NoScript, Ubuntu linux 12.04 et cetera. I thought I was an early one reporting database errors; that could be due to distance but I always check a ping every suspect instance and it varies too insignificantly to matter.

You’ll recall, months ago, I pointed out that doj was wanting to set cookies on my computer whenever I visited TBP. Now TBP page loads are slowed by the redirect through nsa servers.
Your web security warnings are simply recognizing that which is there. Them. The VIRUS.

Today, for the first time ever, my work computer security blocked access to TBP. I have browsed TBP pretty regularly during my lunch hour for years. I rarely post from work-when I have I make sure it’s a PC comment w/o any obvious “trigger” words. (I wonder if “trigger” is a trigger word?). 10+ years ago, I could access Ebay from work-that went away, then maybe 8 years ago no access to sites related to firearms. I can’t access Youtube (which is ironic, since my agency occasionally distributes professional Youtube vids that I have to forward to my personal email and view at home.) But TBP was fine, until today. I’m not enough of a geek to understand the department firewall, maybe it is just a coincidence, but ma6ybe not. BTW, I use Firefox at work.

In the regrettable event that this is my last post to TBP, I wish you all well and encourage you to keep up the good fight, in whatever way you see fit. Many thanks to Admin-a true patriot in the classic sense.

I use Google Chrome and haven’t had any issues opening the site. I do live in Canada where I suspect no-one gives a shit about some “renegade US website” like TBP. I send links constantly but of the 15,000 daily hits Admin, how many are from Canadians? I suspect, very few. Those that can pull themselves away from “Wheel of Fortune” are more concerned with some Senator cheating on his/her expense account than a world financial meltdown/depression.

Let the turning commence.

We use MacAfee in every computer in our household. I sent the Friday Fail link to my wife and she got the “Warning – Dangerous Site” message as you described, She uses Firefox. So I opened up the site using Firefox on my laptop and I did not get any message. I can’t figure this out.

The message lets you comment and I did so as follows: “This site is SAFE. It is only dangerous to those that would oppose free speech.”

I get all kinds of crazy shit when I try to get on here sometimes, often very slow loads and time outs. One thing I can recommend as a contingency is that you could either publish your (I’m not sure of the proper name for this) digital website address or email it to those of us who you know as regulars. That should allow us to access the site if it gets shut down. Survivalblog.com does this-their address is http://95.143.193.148/

It’s called quad address! Here’s their message:

Take a pen and write down our dotted quad address: 64.92.111.122, and please carry that in your wallet.
If and when “SurvivalBlog.com” disappears, or if it is replaced by a graphic and a message from a bureaucrat or a hacker, then enter our dotted quad IP address into your web browser. That way you should still be able to to continue to access SurvivalBlog, as long as our server is still functional.
If “SurvivalBlog.com” doesn’t work, but our dotted quad IP address does work, then please send an alert with the dotted quad notation IP address to all your friends and relatives via e-mails, IMs, forum posts, phone text messages, or social networking services. Be sure to include the full address: http://64.92.111.122 Do your best to then spread the word, far and wide!

Admin

I am having an extremely difficult time wrapping my mind around the meaning of all this. It’s a matter of what extent to which the federal government will go in assaulting the Constitution. Assaults by the IRS, DOJ assaults on journalists, assaults by NSA, now possibly this.

I have never had a problem accessing this site, other than the normal website, Internet-based shit that everyone else has had to put up with, and you had to get fixed. And I have never gotten the warnings you describe and others have described.

This is very serious stuff you are putting out there. Very. Are you sure? 100% sure? Can you document it? If so, you may have a classic case of a violation of the First Amendment. Pls advise.

I use Firefox and rarely have any problems accessing any site. However, I do run into the “Warning, Dangerous…” occasionally but I ignore it. I expect more and more of that shit to happen as more people wake up to reality. I also just switched to Outlook.com for my search engine. Anyone have info on that site? They claim to be the safest at this point. Or are they part of NSA?

I conur with SSS. There could be many reasons for the message. Just beause malware wasnt found does not mean that it doesnt exist. Mcaffe, and others use heuristics that warn it might be a trojan. I dont use Macaffe. which this seems to be related to. I see no symantec or norton users complaining of the same.

Personally I am using ubuntu and the firefox browser. No problems here. Have also watched packetlogs using wireshark. Other than all the ip adresses connecting to advertiser images[which you have alot of] I dont see anything amiss. Certainly nothing to do with the DOJ.

“Is there an entity attacking anyone who tries to access my site or are they trying to scare people away from accessing my site”

Jim, I just posted a comment on the Snowden thread about Microsoft giving the government a heads up on their bugs with their programs before Microsoft even fixed them or disclosed it to the public. I am sure this is because the government has threatened companies through various means to “share” information like through Public Private Partnerships (CHECK out INFRAGARD to see what I mean). Anyways, I got off track (like always). After learning about Microsoft and Fedzilla’s cozy information sharing relationship I am almost certain my computers have been hacked and attacked by visiting your site specifically in the past. Let me tell you, I have gone through at least 3 microsoft run computers in the past 4 years because of my thirst for truth and understanding which inevitably brought me here to TBP!

I have never gotten any of these warnings myself. Though I don’t run typical anti-virus software. Most are lacking in my opinion. I only got a few data errors those two days. I had very little problems refreshing. However I did do some research outside of the blocking attacks. There are several complains about wordpress being used. That they over sold websites and most site ran through them are slow in comparison. I personally ditched wordpress when I got my own domain. I am not say that there aren’t outside influences, but Admin may need to look into other ways to run the sight to make it harder for anything to slow it down. I also am sure there will be future attacks to restrict access. I spent some time on 4chan (hackers Mecca) tonight and it is not an isolated case. Many attacks against sites that down support the government have happened this past week. 4chan is full right now with topics of NSA, Snowden, and anti government. I’m at least happy they can’t take down a site created and ran by hackers.

plato the worst, or best, possible place to get malware is free porn sites.

Reverting to simply reformatting the hard drive means, to me, you dont know what executable [.exe] file caused the problem or where it came from. You dont know what .dll files it created or what files were written to nor what registry entries were created which allowed the malware to restart every time you rebooted.

Shit, I need to offer a class.

Not having any issues accessing TBP. Unsure what to make of others. I have two business websites, which are minimal and the domains are really just used for a couple email accounts. Those accounts are NEVER, EVER used for any spam or mass mailings. Yet, each of those domains (unrelated to each other and with different hosts) appear from time to time on spam/junk domain blacklists, requiring me to contact the hosts to get it fixed. Those sites are not at all political so I can’t see why any federal agency would care. I think it is an issue with a crude and unreliable system for putting domains on the blacklists.

Obviously TBP is totally different, but I wouldn’t be too surprised if any issues are at least partly due to private parties. The level of discourse in the US these days is awful, and it’s routine for people who dislike your position to falsely claim that it’s something criminal or sufficiently distasteful to get banned, e.g. hate speech, etc.

I visit the BP every day and had not experienced security related warnings or events. Ever. And I use IE9. I rather think those issues are WiFi related (poor security settings or no encription) for most users. The only problem I had was with the HUGE amount of data received while browsing TBP, but I fixed that myself a week or so ago.

BREAKING NEWS: A message from the Federal Government of the USA.

Attention Citizen Comrades of the New Soviet of National Socialist Corporate America.

Our Shining Glory of Triumph, Power and Devotion to Peoples Safty and Well Being has been Exposed.
The traitor that exposed sensitive government programs hoping to harm you has failed and only exposed the States unyielding devotion and heroic actions to protect the people of this great nation.

We have all of us together in our exceptionalism, obesity and tattooed conformity built and enabled the unlikely yet grand and glorious fusion of the Nazi, the Communist and the Fascist to become the dominate power over our people and of mankind.

You shall celebrate your submission of servitude to debt, free shit, processed food and security provided by the ever vigilant surveillance by those who serve you in great honor through the strong guiding hand of your state. You the compliant who benefit from the generosity, protection and wisdom of the collective must condemn and route out all enemies of the State and anyone who who questions or challenges our beloved and just institutions of government.

You are the Great and the Glorious because you conform, submit and just lay the fuck down anytime you are told to.

The Camps, the coffins and body bags are assembled and ready. Decent will be crushed and those who do not submit will be eliminated in the name of the people and the greater good of the nation.

The glorious one-of-a-kind TBP could be a honeypot target not because of the intellectually stimulating topics but simply because it’s WordPress..

Hackers want to try to access the site as Admin and then add malware, and join it to the botnet:

http://krebsonsecurity.com/2013/04/brute-force-attacks-build-wordpress-botnet/

to attack other WordPress sites. I’m not saying that the TBP is part of a botnet or has been attacked by a botnet..

It could be that the site is being blocked primarily because it is a WordPress site. if you wanted your network protected against the bad botnets you would find a way to block them.

Recently many WordPress sites have been targeted and infected by malicious botnets.

“If you use a blog theme, make sure that it’s up to date. It’s also important to either update or delete OLD blog themes, as these inactive themes can still be used to get into a site. Before updating your blog theme, remember to back up your data first.”

http://jimsmarketingblog.com/2013/04/13/wordpress-botnet-attack-improve-your-security/

All this trouble has prompted some to dump WordPress, get a VPS, and begin to use Git, node.js – opensource software, and basically learn to be developer-programmers.

Git- https://github.com/ is all the rage for the super tech savvy, right now.
