WTF ARE HIGH SCHOOLS DOING RANDOM LOCKDOWN SEARCHES?

Not only is this case a joke, but the revolting concept of locking down an entire school and conducting random searches of lockers and private automobiles is a Gestapo method of control. The government and their apparatchiks throughout the country are desensitizing our youth and the willingly ignorant adults to being treated like cattle. The Fourth Amendment is virtually dead at this point. Public school drone administrators can treat students like common criminals with no evidence. The police thugs can kick your door down in the name of the War on Terror. The state urges you to snitch on your neighbor. The NSA and their cohorts at Google, Facebook, Verizon and Microsoft are recording everything you do and will use that information against you whenever it suits their purpose. Drones are now roaming the skies keeping you under surveillance. Google Earth can take a close up picture of you in your backyard. And we just willingly and passively submit to this tyranny.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn – A high school student in Montgomery County has been suspended after school officials found a knife inside his father’s car.

David Duren-Sanner should be spending his time going through college and scholarship applications this time of year.

Instead, he’s wondering if he’ll even be able to graduate after what hundreds of people are calling an overreaction to a mistake.

On Thursday, Duren-Sanner, a senior at Northeast High School drove his father’s car to school. During a random lockdown, his car was chosen to be searched.

Duren-Sanner gave permission because he said he had nothing to hide.

His father is a commercial fisherman on the West Coast and had apparently left a fishing knife in the car. Duren-Sanner’s father said it might have been wedged between one of the seats.

Duren-Sanner said he told school officials and the Sheriff’s department the car was his father’s and he didn’t know the knife was in it.

“He’s like ‘it doesn’t matter it was in your possession anyway,'” Duren-Sanner said.

School officials suspended him for 10 days, the maximum allowed under school policy, and then he was reprimanded to attend 90 days at an alternative school.

Peggy Duren is Duren-Sanner’s grandmother whom he lives with. She said she tried explaining the knife didn’t belong to her grandson, but claims school officials wouldn’t listen.

“Unfortunately (the vice principal) said that’s the way it is now: Guilty until proven innocent. It’s part of this zero tolerance policy,” she said.”

Duren-Sanner has an appeal hearing on Wednesday with the school board.

If his punishment is upheld, Duren-Sanner will not be able to attend prom, his JROTC ball or walk at graduation. His family said it’s unclear whether he’ll be able to graduate at all.

Duren said her grandson has a 3.0 grade point average, is on the honor roll and he has never even been sent to the principal’s office She said scholarship applications have stopped since it is unclear what her grandson’s future is.

Duren-Sanner also faces weapons charges with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department.

An online petition has garnered more than 600 signatures in support of Duren-Sanner. The petition urges school officials to drop all charges against him, end his suspension and not punish him for days missed.

Repeated requests for comment from the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System were not responded to.

I was outraged the other day when I heard that a coworker’s eight year old got detention for not wearing a name tag in her public school. Kids are being conditioned from a young age to be subjected to being identified and catalogued (Papers Please!) at a young age.

So the list of what-the-fuck here is very, very long:

1) Random lockdown? WTF? That’s how you run a prison, maybe. (Maybe if you’re an asshole.) Children should NEVER have to deal with a “random lockdown.”

2) Car searches during that illegal, immoral “random lockdown”? DoubleWTF! Total bullshit!

3) As Denninger says, mens rea… there can’t be a crime here if the guy didn’t know.

4) 10-day suspension PLUS being kicked out of that school? Holy mother of triple WTF, Batman!

More and more I think these outrageous actions are 100% entirely, deliberately designed to provoke backlash which can then be used to crank the screws down even harder. To which I will say – how does Ender Wiggins deal with bullies?

I’m with Denninger: ENOUGH!

They do no more than we allow them to do. If nothing else, we have the ability to make this go viral, to sign the petition, to speak up. This kid’s life should not be destroyed by a totalitarian – fascist system where common sense has no role.

Do it… or there will be no one left to cry “Stay!” for you and yours. #TheHangman

Enough is enough right? All the government is doing is pissing people off. Anger is epidemic, as are suicides (anger turned inward). They aren’t making us safer, they are only enforcing fascism. But behind the scenes, Americans are arming themselves for what’s coming. We know what’s coming, and we’ll finally be able to vent the anger. It’s gonna blow up in the fascist’s faces.

Hmm, I remember a couple of months ago I brought this same issue up at TBP. I talked about the illegal car searches and locker searches. Drug sniffing dogs in the hall ways. I was told I was a whiner. Funny how when Admin brings up a topic that is NOT new, he has supporters. But when I bring it up from just 10 years ago, I am a whiner. And you wonder why teenagers are losing their minds and shooting up their schools.

I have a friend who is a high school principal. Five years ago he would have agreed with maybe 80% of the views on this site, he still leaned moderate democrat but professed to be republican to the core.

I don’t know the man anymore, he is so far over to the left it is astounding.

There is no hope, the best action is for parents, who should be alarmed, is to pull their children out of public schools, while they still can.

There’s nothing new about this.

This was done in all high schools when I was a kid in the 1960s. We were told that our lockers were on school property and were subject to random searches for “contraband” such as liquor, at any time.

And if you think the public schools were bad, you should have been in one of the CATHOLIC Schools. The paternalism and control methods of the parochial schools were extremely invasive and insulting. While the public schools at least backed off the kid and left what went on off school property and after school hours up to the parents, the Catholic schools went all in on control, right down to lecturing mothers of their pupils on how they, the mothers, should dress and comport themselves as Good Catholic Wives and Mommas. The Catholic schools would search a girl’s hand bag or a boy’s gym bag with no hesitation and if the student did not submit, he or she was booted.

The only defense against this crap is to know the school’s policy before you enroll your child, and decide whether or not you want to agree to the terms. If you don’t, find a school that will do things your way.

Admin- I was pulled over numerous times while in college and had my car searched. One time they were looking for beer and illegal drugs (The cops suspected we were under the age of 21) they found nothing. I was on a road trip in Missouri with two friends, we pulled over because of snow, cops surrounded our car, searched the contents, and put us in separate cop cars, they found nothing. I was at a friends apartment drinking while underage (I was 19) when neighbors call the police. They tried to get entry to search the apartment, we said no, I was actually beer in hand talking to the police while my underage friends hid in the apartment (I was not about to look guilty for anything) he didn’t even I.D. me. I was one time waiting for my roommate to come and pick me up from work 9he had my truck) it took him an hour to arrive because police were searching my truck (and B-2200 Mazda truck, with one of the smallest cabs ever) He also confiscated my CD player (I had in rigged settling on the floor because I couldn’t find a CD player the right size anywhere) saying he suspected it was stole.

Those were just times in college. Not to mention every time I got pulled over in Detroit while in high school. I used to drive a black 1989 Buick Regal and got racially profiled all the time in the car if I was in any city in Michigan.

Admin, you went to school about 10 years behind me.

You did NOT live or go to school in South St Louis, which was, at that time, heavily populated by people of mostly German descent, the most rule-conscious, conformist people that ever walked.

Terms like “knee jerk conformist” come to mind.

Parents never, ever, ever questioned the schools. If you got detention, or got suspended, or had your locker searched, your parents automatically assumed that YOU were guilty and would want to know what you did to earn the punishment, or trigger suspicion.

Mind you, this state of affairs was what most of the parents WANTED.

I lived within a mile of 3 Catholic high schools and four Catholic grade schools. The prep schools were fine, but the parochial schools were very invasive.

Chicago- There is a difference between the schools searching for something specific and random police searches. Learn the damn difference. If you got caught, you were suspended. Boo hoo. Now if you get caught, you get arrested, sent to jail, and are a felon before you are legally allowed to drink.

And now for something completely different. A different story from a different time, long ago and far away…

Back in high school, in the days when kids drove their pickups to school with hunting rifles on the rack by the rear window of the cab, a teacher didn’t like me. I was fine with that because I didn’t like him either. One day he sent me to the principal.

The principle and my dad went to the same college and they played together on the baseball team. Now I didn’t know this until he told me. He looked down at the report from Mr. Asshole (my teacher), then started talking about playing baseball with my dad in college. After awhile he looked up at me and said, “Okay. You can go now.”

I don’t think Mr. Asshole was satisfied with the outcome of that meeting, but he never sent me there again.

“I asked him what punishment would be doled out to the three little cunts for falsely accusing my son. ” ———–Admin

False accusers are rarely, if ever, punished.

Was Tawaney Brawley punished for falsely crying rape? Nope. Are Prosecutors punished when they knowingly accuse someone falsely? Nope. I read recently where 46 (FORTY SIX) people in jail were released because the pigfuk knowingly and falsely accused them of shit they never did. His punishment? A fine of a few thousand bucks and parole ….. for sending 46 people to jail.

If I were King I would make the punishment for a false accusation EQUAL TO the crime. So, if a false rape charge is made, and if the penalty for the would be rapists is 10 years in jail …. then send the false accuser to a 10 year prison term.

However, in 4th Grade Sister Mary Teresa and my mom had a meeting about my unruly behavior. I made some weisenheimer comment. Surprising, huh? Well, Sister Mary Teresa ACTUALLY choked me! Afterwards, my mom slapped me upside the head. That’s how things rolled back then.

Parents chuck their kids into school and rely on the schools to become a de facto parent..

Parents listen to school “experts” tel them that their kid has ADD (or whatever the “condition du jour” is..) and dope him/her up accordingly.

Parents are appalled when their kid has a psychotic break and shoots up their school with a stolen gun.

Parents wail and moan “Someone has to DOOOO something!!”

Schools initiate draconian lockdowns, metal detectors, gun-free zones, locker searches and vehicular searches in an effort to DOOO SOMETHING!!! Now new and improved with Zero Tolerance!!

While I do understand you aspirations for the salad tossing field, I must say you will must (1) fuck off as you Cobb expertise input is not needed.

You belittle my salad making, though you do not know what you are talking about. The OG I worked at had well over 50 servers employed. Being as I took waste down from 11% to 1% in a month, I would say that simple job was a big priority when it comes to waste. But then again, food is not expensive these days, so literally saving the company thousands of dollars is not worthwhile. Especially when that waste easily totals into the thousands every week due to mismanagement and quality control. that restaurant alone in on day could easily go through 20 cases (25lbs) of salad mix. I took it down to 10 cases a day. The restaurant before could easily go through 60lbs of tomatoes. I took down to 25-30 lbs. SO yeah, I would say it was pretty important.

Did you know in a single day at OG they good through over 150 lbs of pasta?
