Alabama Hero Guns Down Airman For Holding Up His Wallet

OPELIKA, AL — While on an interstate drive to his next assignment in the USAF, a young man got in a minor traffic accident. When police arrived to help, they told him to raise his hands. An officer “perceived a threat” presumably because he was holding his wallet — and opened fire. The young airman was shot him in the stomach and will now live the rest of his life attached to a colostomy bag. The department “fully supports” the shooting.

On March 6th, Michael Davidson, age 20, was traveling on I-85 on his way to to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base near Goldsboro, NC. Davidson is an Airman First Class in the U.S. Air Force and was reporting for duty. Near Opelika, Alabama, he got into a minor collision with an 18-wheeler.

Davidson exited his vehicle to go talk to the semi-truck driver. About halfway there, he reportedly heard a noise from behind him — “hollering.” A police officer was now on the scene and was shouting at Davidson.

Police reportedly told to raise his hands in the air, and for reasons unclear, Officer Phillip Hancock of the Opelika Police Department opened fire. Davidson was shot in the stomach.

The victim’s father, Billy Davidson of Texas, has been the primary source of information so far, as his son is hospitalized and unable to speak to the media. He has passed along Michael’s version of the events, and told WTVM his son did nothing to provoke being shot. “I didn’t know what happened. It was so fast. They couldn’t have been there three or four seconds when I was shot.”

“Michael said he heard screaming or hollering and he saw the lights. He realized it was a police vehicle and he raised up his hand. He had his billfold at the time he was turning around saying ‘I am an Airman headed to my—’ and that is as far as he got. As he turned around he felt something hit him and he had been shot,” Billy said.

“He kept asking ‘Why did you shoot me?’”, his father added, noting that his son soon fell unconscious and nearly died.“He lost so much blood they ran out of blood and had to use blood expanders,” his father said.

“The next thing I know I was on the ground,” Michael told his father. “I didn’t realize he shot me. I didn’t know what happened. It was so fast. They couldn’t have been there three or four seconds when I was shot.”

I really would feel sorry for cops, who got shot, or wounded in the line of duty. I don’t feel that way anymore. They act like cowardly thugs, ready to shoot anything at a moments notice. How long before people realize this and shoot back.

Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Here in Minneapolis, a car with a man and a woman were being persued by the polize because of a minor hit and run. These two people were minior criminals / drug addicts. Well the car crashed. The driver and passenger got out, the polize claim the male driver had a knife – and they murdered him. Then – GET THIS: they claim the woman picked up the knife, and they murdered her also. There hasn’t been any news about this since it happened.

Mother of 2 and her boyfriend died after chase on Hwy. 212

Officials have not released many details about the incident or explained what prompted police to open fire. The shots came after the couple’s Saab crashed into a wall and they appeared to be fleeing the scene.

The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, which is investigating the incident, will not release details until all witnesses and law enforcement officers involved are interviewed, spokeswoman Jill Oliveira said Saturday.

Murdered by five cops. Cops said they had a knife. Haven’t heard a word since it happened.

We had an interesting little incident over the weekend, too: 8-hour Standoff on LSD

Someone commented to me this morning that it was amazing they didn’t just kill the guy. I responded that, if it were going to happen, it would have been done in the first 30 seconds of arriving at the scene.

While we’re at it, though, I wonder if anyone can identify this militarized vehicle the CPD has (which we’ve never seen before)? It looks like one of the sound-blaster anti-riot vehicles we talked about on here a couple of years ago.

Looks like a MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicle. Not sure about that roof device.

Goverment has given itself permission to do anything it desires. Americans are letting it happen. Partly due to the involvement of MSM. Not reporting it properly is complicit on a goverment take over personnel rights

“No charges have been filed against shooting victim Michael Davidson.”

Gee, that mighty white of them. So, the Opelika officer pulls his gun and shoots this kid simply because he got out of his car after a minor traffic accident? These stupid sons-a-bitches.

not sure if this applies here, entered an area with several cop cars on the side and one in the center divider, no indication what they were doing but they had the traffic down to one lane. I passed by slowly in case they wanted to ask something, no one said anything. a car approaching from the other side a block away appeared to be going too slowly for the cop driving behind him so he got pulled over on suspicion, I guess.
