It takes real sustained effort to piss away $1.5 billion a year on travel, but Moosh and Barry don’t seem to mind.
There’s just no rest for the first family. Barry is playing golf in Florida every weekend (and no doubt visiting South Beach bath houses with boy-toy Reggie). He’s too busy to attend national security meetings, but always has time for 18 holes (and Reggie’s putter).
I’m so glad they’re able to enjoy themselves at our expense. They’ve really earned it. Maybe we can send them one a one-way trip to Siberia, courtesy of Vlad and the boys in Russia.
Mooch, her daughters, along with mama Mooch will be leaving for China tomorrow at our expense. Heck, just another day in the neighborhood for them. This is another example of in your face grandeur via the Obama family…another vacation that costs tons of taxpayer dollars. But what the hell, the msm gives the thumbs-up, after all…they’re democrats, and they’re very, very special dontcha know!

And she considers it a “real treat” to take her daughters and her mother with her — a trip she’s making at considerable expense to taxpayers, although the White House refused to give a dollar figure.

She believes that about her own children, and has seen this as a really unique opportunity to share a very different part of the world with her two daughters and with her mother as well,” Mrs. Obama’s Chief of Staff Tina Tchen told a conference call on Monday.

My gut tells me that it won’t take much for our stores to empty out and for even our basics to become more expensive than most have the ability to pay. China, Russia, the Middle East, and all the rest of our natural resource trade “partners,” only have decide to flip the switch and knock us off our reserve perch.
Within days, weeks at most (and with Just In Time inventory, this is a pipe dream), we won’t be able to find toilet paper, tampons, band aids, processed foods of all kinds – from baby food to frozen pizza, insulin, coumadin, ibuprofen, you name it and other countries are our suppliers.
Those on gubment largesse, those that live in small apartments, those that refuse to believe the store won’t have dinner for them tomorrow, are going to be the first to freak.
My big plan is to try and lay low, hopefully after I’ve left here, until the weak are weeded out by troops, stupidity, or hunger.
Crazy to think this way, then I read another article about Nero fiddling – and spending more money everywhere – while our own personal Rome burns.

Obama’s planning his summer vacations already. They’ve booked Martha’s vineyard again. I’m so glad they get to enjoy the finer things in life and can jet off around the world. That is the day the House Republican leadership agreed to a deal with President Barack Obama to pass legislation ending a two-week partial government shutdown. The deal funded the government into January 2014 and suspended the legal limit on the federal debt into February 2014.
As of the close of business on Oct. 16, 2013, the total debt of the U.S. government stood at $16,747,360,549,057.23, according to the U.S. Treasury. Shortly after midnight on Oct. 17, Obama signed the debt-and-spending deal, reopening the partially shut government.
By the close of business on March 18, the latest day reported, the total U.S. government debt had climbed to $17,559,060,160,057.74—up $811,699,611,000.51 in the since Oct. 16 debt-and-spending deal. That equals $7,057.89 for each of the 115,006,000 households that the Census Bureau estimates are now in the United States.
