I had to call IRS last Friday to find out what they claim I owe . For the first time it was a good experience. I talked to a woman who was very helpful. Maybe the republicans put the fear of GOD in them.

@bb, I was a certified Problem Resolution Representative with the IRS, rule # 1 with calling the IRS is don’t call on Friday, the day before any holiday, or Mondays.
I could call them 10 times and receive 10 different answers. From my current CPA nothing has changed in the past 25 years.
Good freaking luck dealing with those people. They are paid for life, with better benefits than I could ever pay for (even after winning a lottery), and they do not care one iota if the bad info provided to you results in your going to prison, or having your bank accounts drained.
Just a thought, don’t trust them and always verify has been my motto.
