Gunfire broke out in the Kenyan coastal town of Mpeketoni during a world cup match. Locals where watching the match at the Costa Rica cafe when they heard gunfire in the streets.

The gunmen were fighters of Somalia’s Islamist Shebab militant group. They started their attack with a shootout at the local police station. The group out numbered the police force and were able to overtake them.
Many left the bar to seek shelter across the street at Mama Monica’s Guest House.

Thank you for posting this Jim. The bombings and massacres have intensified in my native land. They Islamist Jihadists are working hard in Sudan, Nigeria, Somalia and Kenya. I believe they are hard at work in other Countries that don’t have western media.
They are also determined to win in the Middle East. I know this is politically incorrect to say but I think there will be areas here in the US were this will start to happen – it wont be everywhere, pray it is not in your neck of the woods.
