Texas, Homo Friendly State — Officially Suppresses Free Speech

Houston, we have a problem.  What the fuck is wrong with you??

Ass pounding — not that there’s anything wrong with that — is a-OK in Houston. TALKING about ass pounding, is not.

Nazi Germany also silenced pastors.  That day has arrived in America.

I guess you fuckers forgot about this:

That includes talking about ass-pounding!!

A second health care worker at the Dallas hospital who provided care for the first Ebola patient diagnosed in the U.S. has tested positive for the disease.  Maybe God really IS pissed off with Texas …..

————————————————————–

Excepts:

“The city of Houston has issued subpoenas demanding a group of pastors turn over any sermons dealing with homosexuality, gender identity or Annise Parker, the city’s first openly lesbian mayor. And those ministers who fail to comply could be held in contempt of court.”

The subpoenas are just the latest twist in an ongoing saga over the Houston’s new non-discrimination ordinance. The law, among other things, would allow men to use the ladies room and vice versa.  The city council approved the law in June.

Mayor Parker will not explain why she wants to inspect the sermons. “We don’t comment on litigation,” said Janice Evans.

However, ADF attorney Stanley suspects the mayor wants to publicly shame the ministers. He said he anticipates they will hold up their sermons for public scrutiny. In other words – the city is rummaging for evidence to “out” the pastors as anti-gay bigots.

Steve Riggle, the senior pastor of mega-church, Grace Community Church was ordered to produce all speeches and sermons related to Mayor Annise Parker, homosexuality and gender identity. He was also ordered to hand over “all communications with members of your congregation” regarding the non-discrimination law.”

Occasionally the rug-munching Billy is tolerable, especially close to Oktoberfest, but I won’t join his cooking circle.

TBP, Homo Friendly Blog, suppresses epicurean Bromance. Big dog demands German gourmands turn over any non-kosher recipes.

Har har…

Actually, the kitchen looked like a tornado hit it when we were done, but the result? Awesome. Like I said, there was much feasting by all…

Seriously, you know how difficult it is to find good bread? It’s not like I’m gonna go drive 40 miles one way just to find a Panera, then pay 8+ bucks for a loaf of bread I can make AT HOME for pennies… and even then, it ain’t the same… back in Germany, there were at least two good bakeries in every town… even the Jerkwater places in the middle of nowhere. And they made the GOOD SHIT.

You’d wake up, hear church bells tolling, smell the fresh baked stuff down at the bakery… dude didn’t really need a sign, just the smell was enough to sell the place out every morning before 10am.

My wife and I would walk down to the bakery – down cobblestone streets, past a 900 year old church – a carved stone trough next to an ancient well marked the center of town, where the village got their water before indoor plumbing – grab some good eats and a hot cup of coffee, sit outside in the morning sun and watch the world wake up…

It was… refined. And a better time. No “War on Terror”. No 9-11. No TSA. No NSA spying. No fucking Ebola… no Economic Ragnarök. No Gitmo. No waterboarding. No Patriot Act. No NDAA. No Snitch Nation…

We were young and strong and beautiful in the sun…. and the smell of fresh bread will always remind me of that. It literally was The Before Time…

So scuze the hell out of me if I like making fresh bread to get a little bit of that back…

I was wondering how this got 57 comments. Brötchen

I gave you all thumbs up. LLPOH, Stuck and Billy, except on the tax stuff. The power to tax is the power to destroy. If Obama, Schumer and Pelosi had their druthers they’d have a 100% tax rate on church donations. Why should churches pay taxes when unions, PETA and political parties don’t? As far as politicking, churches have to avoid official politicking, but their implied political messages cancel each other out anyway. The conservative Christians and the Greenpeace Christians cancel each other out.

The Houston mayor sucks ass.

Ahhh, you so funny Llpoh….

Which reminds me. Hunting season’s coming up soon. Several weeks of laying prone in the rain and fog, waiting patiently to blow away some poor, defenseless deer. Or several.

After which we will drain it’s blood, then slice open it’s abdomen and let its guts fall out, saving the liver and heart.

Then we will peel it’s skin off in preparation of chopping it up into edible chunklets… the skins will be sent to the tanners to be made into buckskin. The antlers, if any, will be made into buttons or knife handles…

I’m sure Llpoh thinks “meat” grows in small plastic packages down at the grocery store…

Hon

Are you having the same idear that I am? If Stucky’s got boobies, and Billy Jr is all into that funky gender bender stuff, why don’t we ask Stucky to come edjercate our little person child about how sexual orientation is a highly subjective affair. Billy Jr loves hearin about yer imaginary sexcapades with that ‘norwegian’, but if he’s going to be a fully functioning homo he needs a broader perspective than you or i kin provide.

Going back to the topic of the article… the bigger the church, the more it fears losing its 501c3 status. I have seen several churches here in Oklahoma grow to megasize due to a popular minister, only to collapse into bankruptcy after building multi-million dollar facilities that could not longer be supported by their original congregations. I took my son to an old church when he was small because the interior was all wood with a vaulted ceiling that had gorgeous stained glass windows. I LOVED that church here, but it was in an established neighborhood that was mostly retired military folks on fixed incomes. The church leadership purchased a ten acre plot of land just outside the new residential areas on the outskirts of the city and went into debt to build a huge new facility. (They call them facilities now, not houses of worship.) The church elders determined that a more open door policy would be necessary to increase revenue so that they could continue to do the Lord’s work… so, it became “okay” for unmarried couples with children to become members, as well as those in alternative families and before long, I couldn’t stand to go there because I felt like a hypocrite taking my son there. To be honest, he really didn’t like the new facility either… he liked that old church with the balcony around the vaulted ceiling that he and the other kids could play hide and seek in. It was way better then. Eventually, most of the people I enjoyed “fellowshipping” with there left as well. The minister left shortly after they moved, which really is the main reason most people went there. However, with the new open door policy, they did draw a large crowd from the new neighborhoods around them.

The church seems to be doing well… last time I drove by, I see they’ve built what looks like a huge Sports Complex/gymnasium and tennis court behind the first facility building. A huge playground with all new equipment too. Seems to be working out.

My dopple is totally useless, I could have posted a question mark easily. It’s coming up with nonsense that’s a challenge.
I will give you one more chance, dopple buddy, then your fired. There was so much going on here between two guys. References to meat packages, baking bread in the – ahem- oven. What – Germans eat corn on the cob now? No reference to German sausage? This is no time to be PC.

That sounds like Lancaster Baptist, they even have a college on ‘campus’ and I understand they collect the tithe at the door. But I don’t know for sure. Sorry.
