Yes, he can be funny, but he just showed the depth and breadth of his ignorance with that NASCAR comment.
Driving a NASCAR race car down Main Street by Joe Civilian isn’t codified into the Bill of Rights.

SNL is so not funny anymore. But, then again, I don’t find a plethora of funny anywhere. Most of the new shows suck.
Strange how when things were going great – materiallistically, that is – in the 90s, our comedy was actually funny.
Now, like in the 80s, we are following the dark and morbid.
Idle comments, for sure.
The tower bit was funny, the marathon elicited a cringe, but still a giggle, the whole gun thing he can kiss my ass.
I don’t know why I continue to turn on NBC at 11:30 on Saturday nights, I’m usually out by 11:35 as I can’t stomach the continues liberalized, state-worship, and piss-poor, racially qualified, crap writing and acting that now passes for funny.
Makes me miss Chris Farley and David Spade movies. Isn’t that saying a lot.
