Saw them live before the laser light show restrictions. Think it was in 1980. Sure was a trip!

Blue Oyster Cult did one or two concerts at Northern Illinois University right around that period of time. It may have been in 1979. I had to work but some friends of mine attended and later mentioned to me that the performance was awesome and the laser lights were cool.
They are still performing although with only two of the original band members. As might be expected, the equipment that they are currently using is first class. Wikipedia has a pretty decent photo.
In my fantasy world David Gilmour would make a brief one time guest appearance to participate in Don’t Fear The Reaper and Then Came The Last Days Of May. The unusual concert would no doubt fill a large auditorium to capacity.

Don’t Fear The Reaper
After six years of lord and savior Obongo, I would welcome the reaper with open arms.
Dear God deliver us from this plague and smite the evildoers. Bea
