My dad told me this from when I was a little girl: do not owe anybody anything, have no debts. That way you can tell anyone who bothers you to “blow it…..” I’ve always remembered this.

Good philosophy , but impossible to to put into real practice. We own no property sans government permission which is only granted via the payment of a fee.

Flash I agree. However do not make it worse by going voluntarily into debt over and above what the gov. takes by force.
