Fukushima: Playing With Nuclear Fire

Tyler Durden's picture

Three years after the Tohoku earthquake in Japan, citizens and the international community are left wondering if Japan really does have the situation in Fukushima under control… “TEPCO’s own engineers are clueless… nobody knows how much [radiation] is washing into the ocean.”

Instead of using our vast resources to kill people in the sandbox and Ukraine, the American government should be investing our brain, engineering, and money power in how to solve this ugly problem that threatens humanity worldwide.
And the U.S. government should counter the lies and obfuscation of Tepco and the Japanese government. It won’t happen because the U.S. military and Nuke power are joined at the hip.

I have read some nice deep scientific papers that, for the most part, say that if the Fuckyoushima reactors really go to hell i.e. multiple melts, waste pools (full of rods) dropping their loads into the reactor rooms below them, etc, that theoretically sufficient radio-isotopes and junk could be tossed high enough in the atmosphere to cause an extinction event.

I have read not one single paper addressing what the world can to to put the plug back into the genie’s bottle.

Not comforting..

I think I mentioned this before. When I traveled to N.H. in October I had a chance encounter with a Clemson fan at the airport who was part of team that was put together to prevent a Fukushima type incident here in the USA . I asked him about Fukushima,he said we (the public) were being lied to and that it was still a bad place. He didn’t think that they’d ever get it under complete control .

Relax people! The Fed will print more land into existence to dilute the radiation. No one will be harmed. The end.
