QUOTE OF THE DAY

“I am the victim of an error of judgement. Now that I look back, I realize that a life predicated on being obedient and taking orders is a very comfortable life indeed. Living in such a way reduces to a minimum one’s need to think…

I may have made an error in judgement– but one thing is beyond dispute: the man was able to work his way up to leader of a people of almost 80 million. His success alone proved that I should subordinate myself to him.”

Adolf Eichmann

The female wolf choses the alpha male, choses the den site and as a result choses the territory that the pack, (which she will birth) will defend to their death unless vastly overpowered and then they will run for their lives. Are we so different? Can anybody think for themselves?

If the answer is affirmative, just where did you get the tools with which to think? From your school? From your religion? From your political party? From the news casts? We can’t think with the brain chemistry we didn’t inherit. We are wolves. Not cats.

How funny. My world is very strangely connected.

I was doing some focused free writing and my idea was that the human pursuit of comfort is what causes, and reinforces, cognitive dissonance. Especially when coupled with a country living a life of extraordinary ease and materialistic comfort.

Eichmann totally understands this.
