Galaxies and black holes do live next door. We’re surrounded by them! A number of galaxies are directly visible without any optical aid including the large and small Magellanic Clouds visible in the southern hemisphere and the Andromeda galaxy in the northern hemisphere. Black holes lie at the heart of galaxies and are impossible to see.

The vid was rather lame given the title. Only two galaxies were shown. The rest were planetary nebulae, super nova remnant, globular star cluster, and a reflection nebula.

Pretty pictures are nice but there’s nothing quite like using a telescope to hunt them down yourself and let old light fall on your retina to end it’s journey.

Simply gorgeous. Love the way they overlaid galactic pics with earth scenes.

Black holes to Black ho’s, Well if any of you discover the details on the event horizon on a Black Ho, just keep it to yourself, I really don’t want to know.
