Too many stupid people vote in all elections. Since literacy tests were declared unconstitutional (which was stupid), we should have a numeracy test to get a ballot. Multiple choice. Questions like “what’s 7 X 9?” or “what’s 1,000 X 1,000?”

Place a fee on voting of like $100 or something. That way people might consider actually researching candidates before blowing $100 and it would keep morons like the above video at home.

Poll: 64 Percent of Americans Cannot Identify All Three Branches Of Government
Raise the voting age to 24 and a voter must pass a civics/math/geography/current events/history test before casting any ballot. This suggestion was posted on this site.

Think it through. if you are a soldier in the FSA, these are the best of times. You don’t have to waste a moment on the traditional pathways to success like education, hard work and law abiding behavior, all you have to do is sign up, and the free shit just flows your way. Armies of corporate lobbyists and misguided liberal do-goods are there 24/7 to make sure you get your free shit. Tick, tick, tick. 18 months. Nobama

Brian,
I like the idea of a poll tax, but a smaller one. Like, $5. If voting’s not worth $5 to you, then don’t vote. We should make voting as hard as possible and discourage as many people as we can from voting.

Okay, so where’s the post of the stupid ass people who voted for McStain/Palin? The Earth would be a cinder about now had these two stumbled into office. The TRUTH is, we didn’t have much of a choice in 2008 or 2012.

WC, I’m pretty conservative. Obama was clearly a better choice than mccain in 08. He ran on two things, break the banks, and end the wars. Lying comes easier to him than we could ever imagined

Westcoaster, you are wrong.
The democrats and the media as well as the tea party would be on McCain in a heartbeat if he tried any of this shit like Obama does.
Obama gets a pass from democrats and the media.
McCain would likely been impeached by now if the democrats held the house.

Westcoaster,
Nah, it would be the same as now.
That office is controlled by an outside force and the people we see occupying it are just a public face for them so no one notices, like actors on a stage or something reading a script someone else writes.

I’m sure you would have gotten similar answers from McCain supporters. What I find maddening is when older adults don’t know who Nancy Pelosi or Harry Reid is despite them being in power for decades. Naive college students are expected, but grown adults? Really?

I’m pretty sure I saw this video posted here when it was new. Can’t say my opinion has changed much, if at all. It is encouraging to know that many Bammy supporters realize now they were wrong. It’s too little, too late but still encouraging.

Westcoaster, Gary Johnson was the best candidate in 2012. However, he received little attention in the msm and was denied by both Republicans and Democrats to participate in any televised debates. He is running again for president.

I bought media time for Harry Browne (and of course voted for him).
And no it really doesn’t matter whether A or B get elected, they’re reporting to the same masters. It’s going to take a powerful force to effect change in the U.S. and I don’t see it on the horizon.

So he got elected because he is black and not a Bush. It is the same stupid shell game every four years. The choices are made in advance and we get to pick one of them. Most of these morons (getting interviewed) are products of public education, which serves to make people stupider than they would be otherwise.
