The entire story of Kate Steinle’s death doesn’t add up. One report said this douchebag illegal found the gun wrapped in a blanket and he was going to shoot sea lions off the pier with it. Then it was said the gun was stolen out of a federal agent’s car. And they found the gun in the water and did ballistics tests on it within 24 hours?
I ain’t buying it.

Or that agent’s direct or indirect relationship to the shooter?
A gun wrapped in a shirt left where it is to be found and used by someone is the plot of numerous movies, and there is a reason for that plot.
I heard that some congressperson was going to sponsor a bill called the Kate Steinle Act where anyone caught in the US after having been deported got 5 years in prison. Sounds like a good idea.

It’s already a Federal felony to be in the US illegally after being deported.
I doubt anyone has ever been charged with it though.
Laws mean nothing if they are ignored by those charged with enforcing them and any new laws regarding this will be ignored the same as the ones we have now.
