Seeing that man hurled through the air seriously wounded and perhaps even killed filled me with a great sadness. Not because he didn’t deserve it but rather because he isn’t Barack Hussein Obama.

Why would you piss off an animal that can weigh over a ton. I’ve seen bulls they can be some nasty and dangerous animals.

Bob.

Bull Temperament and handling

Adult bulls may weigh between 500 and 1,000 kilograms (1,100 and 2,200 lb). Most are capable of aggressive behavior and require careful handling to ensure safety of humans and other animals. Those of dairy breeds may be more prone to aggression, while beef breeds are somewhat less aggressive, though beef breeds such as the Spanish Fighting Bull and related animals are also noted for aggressive tendencies, which are further encouraged by selective breeding.

It is estimated that 42% of all livestock-related fatalities in Canada are a result of bull attacks, and fewer than one in twenty victims of a bull attack survives.[20] Dairy breed bulls are particularly dangerous and unpredictable; the hazards of bull handling are a significant cause of injury and death for dairy farmers in some parts of the United States.[21][22][23] The need to move a bull in and out of its pen to cover cows exposes the handler to serious jeopardy of life and limb.[24] Being trampled, jammed against a wall or gored by a bull was one of the most frequent causes of death in the dairy industry prior to 1940.[25] As suggested in one popular farming magazine, “Handle [the bull] with a staff and take no chances. The gentle bull, not the vicious one, most often kills or maims his keeper”.[26]

“Yup, let’s keep the border wide fucking open.” Yes. So those Spaniards can get here without a problem, after a long trip, bc the people in the video are from Spain.

Point taken, Spin. Jumped to a conclusion. Fact is, though, anyone who can get to Mexico get walk into the US. I get a little touchy reading about illegals murdering people left & right – including in my backyard. http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2015/05/13/2-men-charged-with-murder-in-rural-carver-county-mans-death/ Dumb old bastard made the mistake of employing an illegal, proving again that no good deed goes unpunished.

Guess it never once occurred to this moron that the steps weren’t really much of an obstacle for a bull. Did he live? It looked to me that he could well have broken his neck or suffered a severe head trauma.

If he lived let’s hope he was neutered – clean up the gene pull a bit

I just came in from moving the cattle to a new pasture. I have three bulls currently, my breeding male which is about 1,500 pounds, an adolescent bull, maybe 800 and a bull calf I held onto from this years calving in late winter and he is already 4-500 pounds of pure energy. I have never been injured by any of my animals because I am cautious, do not let my guard down around them, only work them with cattle dogs and treat them with respect and a peaceful demeanor.

Abusing animals is great sport for the ignorant. You can go on all day about tradition if you want, but take your licks- and your broken pelvis- like a man if things go wrong.

Three things I saw in that clip that might have saved that guy a lifetime in adult diapers. He didn’t have his fallback position nailed down. When it’s time to exit your AO, do not dawdle, do not try and wing it, just git. The scrotal sac on the bull tightened right before he charged. That’s a dead giveaway that he’s about to establish dominance, which he did, I might add.

NEVER, ever light a fire around livestock, especially on their head. That, I thought, should go without saying, but evidently this crowd was into envelope pushing. YMMV.

I spent a few afternoons treed by dairy bulls as a kid. They can be really mean when they get jacked up. We knew better than to fool around when one came trotting our way. We could tell when they meant business.

Here’s my stupid story. When I lived in miami beach, the back of my house looked out across the bay to the venetian causeway. One morning I looked out and saw a big line of elephants crossing the bridge. It was ringling brothers. They walked the elephants from the rail yards to the convention center every year when they came to town

I figured if I drove over to the east end of the venetian, I could check them out. So I did, parked and here they came. 25-30 elephants walking, holding the tail of the one in front of them, probably a hundred yard long line, with one guy leading them, and one guy following them. They were huge, the smell was awful, vacant eyes, mindlessly shuffling down the causeway.

I decided I would pet one. I always heard they didn’t like to be tickled, so I stepped forward and slapped one on the shoulder. The vacant eye spun in its socket and now was an angry death stare. It trumpeted an amazingly loud scream, let loose the tail it had been holding and spun around to face me. So did a bunch of the others. I had no place to go. I froze. After maybe 10 seconds, the elephant turned back around, grabbed the tail again, and they all started walking.
