Yes, but you can be immensely gullible.

Ditto for Rep voters

Intelligent? Wise? Insightful? Discerning? Exercising foresight? Not on your life.

Book smart? Operating hypothetically in a vacuum with a measure of success? Maybe, but that’s not real life.

When someone states they’re a Democrat I refuse to engage in anything more than polite surface-level conversation. I find their political ideology detestable.

It depends on the definition of intelligent. What difference does it make.

Their leadership -the real leadership not necessarily the public figureheads- are highly intelligent.

That’s how they always get their way with Republicans, they outsmart them and keep them on the defensive.

Their rank and file however are probably slightly below average intelligence and easily manipulated by the leadership.

The use of an adjective instead of an adverb shows their intelligence level.

i was working for a rabid dem the day after obama first elected. that was tough, yet the guy was a real student of history and we had some interesting discussions in that regard. i suppose how we comprehend the past. six years later i wonder, it was a joy to quit working for many of his ilk, they were dumbfounded that some would no longer play the game they created. so tempting to suggest they find a liberal to get the work done, knowing that could never happen,

Political zealots from either side close their minds to any factual evidence that contradicts their cherished beliefs.

If a democrat is young and brainwashed then they can be considered intelligent in some field or another, but only if they are obviously gullible.

If a person is older, then they are either an imbecile, or a part of the FSA in some fashion or another. In the latter case they can be clever, but are a jaded, corrupt jackoff.

Here’s the stupid-ass question right back at ‘cha, don’t ‘cha know:
“Is it possible to be an intelligent republican?”

History proves otherwise….
Sarah Palin
George “W” Bush
Dick Cheney
Dick Nixon
Paul Wolfowitz
“Viceroy” J. Paul Bremer
Brownie (doing a heckuva job)
…and the list is endless.

The real question should be “is it possible to be an intelligent voter?”.
