Can’t tell if that’s a T-38 or F-5 plane skidding down the runway but I saw something similar but much funnier once. (being the sick bastard that I am)
It was at Torrejon AB in Spain and we were expecting the first brand new F-16 fighter to arrive after a long transatlantic flight. A bunch of people were gathered waiting and the control tower was calling out the planes distance as it approached. we expected it might do a few passes or a roll or something but it just came straight in and landed without putting the landing gear down. The pilot forgot.
Anyway, the plane skidded pretty much down the centerline and finally stopped. All the sudden there were trucks, cars, people on foot and emergency vehicles making a b-line for the crippled fighter. After a couple of minutes an announcement comes over the PA telling everyone to stay back due to a possible hydrazine leak. That shit is quite deadly. One whiff and you’re done.
Anywho, all those vehicles except for the emergency ones stop, put it in reverse and floor it. In the process, humans on foot are being mowed down like grass. The fire truck arrives at the rear of the plane and starts hosing her down as the pilot opens the canopy and stands up in the cockpit. This was perfectly timed to coincide with the fire truck spraying something into the engine exhaust which caused a giant fireball to belch out of the intake directly below the pilot. Apparently the engine was still running and he forgot to shut it down when he realized his career was over for failing to use the landing gear. The pilot immediately sat down trying to close the canopy to escape the fireball.
Long story short, it looked like an episode of the keystone cops out there. I wish I had pictures or video.

Here’s something really funny …. Jerry Suckmahdick Sandusky has his pension restored after ruling from Pennsylvania court. Really.

That bit on the REI CEO dude is pretty funny. I used to shop at REI a long time ago. I was very much into hiking and backpacking and they had some good stuff. But their service went to hell and their stuff got waaay too overpriced, so I stopped.
Reading the bitch letters from pissed off former employees is always a good time. One place I worked made the mistake of putting up an employee suggestion box. The results were hilarious because most of the advice was actually very good, but it involved cutting the deadwood out of management. The bosses tried like hell to figure out who were the authors of the more ‘cutting’ advice and it all ended up a big fail.

Lysander, I don’t think so. Wings are different and it has those small, twin engines as evidenced by two small exhausts. Also the intakes are oriented vertically and hug the fuselage. The 105 has more horizontal intakes that almost form the inner part of the wing.
Looks like it might be Laughlin AFB in TX too which houses T-38’s but I really can’t tell. Must have declared an IFE as it looks like the ground crew was waiting for him.

I’d say F5. It looks to have one exhaust nozzle and the intake air ducts seem to be a larger percentage of the fuselage thickness than the T-38’s.
No way is it a F-105 Thunderchief.

Both the F-5 and T-38 had dual engines with two exhaust nozzles and both came in single seat or two seat versions.
After checking some pictures I think it’s an F-5 based on engine intake shape.
