Obamacare is basically a lousy form of insurance against being forced into bankruptcy by medical costs.
The problems with it are that few people can actually afford the deductibles, not to mention the premiums, and the insurance companies will look for and usually find a way to avoid paying claims in the event one has the misfortune to have enough medical bills to meet the deductible.
So if one has a medical catastrophe, one is forced into bankruptcy anyway.
All of my liberal friends are rabid supporters of this disaster called Obamacare. Interestingly, insofar as I know, not one of them is covered by an Obamacare policy. The all have coverage through either employer-paid health plans, Medicare, or Medicaid.
