The “back to front” Swastika (actually, Svastika – Sanskrit) is a very old Hindu symbol, denoting the supreme religious leadership (Brahman), and dating back to at least 5000 b.c.; Another meaning of this symbol is to denote the meeting of the four roads (the meeting place of the four Guardians of Directions – Dikpalas) – a location of great sanctity (that can be traced back through the early Vedic texts).

One of the many advantages of working with others who have different belief systems. Hinduism / Vedic ritualism predates Christianity by millennia, and contains a lot of very interesting information, some of it pretty “controversial” to the Western mindset. Items such as the Vimanas – abundant references to these flying machines in many Sanskrit texts, with equally abundant references to their use in aerial warfare – about 7000 years before the West had any flight capability (Hot Air Balloons). They also had a diverse and interesting range of very contemporary weaponry – “Indra’s Dart” – a reflector-based beam weapon; Krishna’s sound-guided arrows, and Gurkha’s “Iron Thunderbolt – a “single weapon charged with all the power of the Universe”, a weapon that left the corpses of the dead burned to ashes, whilst the survivors had their hair and fingernails fall out. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it. The various (and many) descriptions of this “gigantic messenger of death which reduced to ashes the entire race of the Vrishnis and Andhakas.” are very consistent; consistent with what we know are the effecst of Nuclear weapons on a population.

Something to think about when talking about “primitive” civilisations . . . . .
