UNDER THE WEATHER

I’ve been sick on and off for the last month with a sinus infection and who knows what else. I now have the full fledged flu. I feel like shit and I’m just going to lay in bed until I feel better.

Carry on in my absence.

So solly Admin- That sucks big time, I too had a mild case of something in the last month.

Colloidal Silver spray up the nose to cure your sinus problem

Two Airborne tablets in warm water twice a day

Two aspirin along with the Airborne

This combo sure helped me and I did not miss a day from the office.

My elderly advise is to stay put, rest, drink healthy fluids and chicken soup, relax, read, check the mail, watch funny movies, avoid sugar, and let your body heal. Do much else and you only prolong your recovery. The most important thing is to relax. Your body gets sick when you stress it out beyond it’s limits. We are constantly assaulted by germs and viruses. They only take hold when we get weak.

For some reason I can’t give BL a thumbs up. Colloidal silver really helps. Chicken soup, too, especially if you make it with homemade bone broth. At least get unsalted broth and put some healthy salt in instead (Real Salt ™ or Himalayan pink salt so you get all the good minerals). Vitamin C is another good one.

IIRC admin was diabetic. High blood sugars allow more infections. Keep as close to 100mg\dl.as possible.

admin, stay hydrated and have Avalon cook up some bone broth! Hide all your clocks and just stay in bed and sleep!

Bea, I thought that Airborne product was found to be “for entertainment only” and had no medicinal properties? I find that since I started downing a bit of ACV at least weekly my incidence of colds and flu have dropped to almost zero over the last 4-5 years. Also, do you have any reputable site for info regarding colloidal silver and reputable sources for it?

OK Araven, what did you find unacceptable? Just saying what just helped me while in the same state of illness. Airborne is a stiff dose of vitamin C plus 13 minerals.

I did not have the option of bed rest as it was yearend and I have to run a business.

I/S- As I related to Araven, Airborne is a hefty dose of vitamin C plus 13 minerals. Four tablets will give you 4000mg of C.

I buy a brand called Sovereign Silver (colloidal spray) from Amazon which runs about $11 per 2fl. oz. bottle. That size bottle lasts us about four or five months.

Bea, when and how do you decide to use it and how much at what frequency? (silver)

I’ll have to do some reading on that Airborne stuff. I tried it when it first came out and found no benefit at all. I later read that after testing it was found to be nothing more than a supplement and did not live up to claims by the manufacturer. I also recall reading that Vit C worked far better as a preventative for colds. Waiting until you had one to take it even in high doses was deemed ineffective.

I’ve been thrilled with the ACV though. Apart from ankle surgery, I haven’t been to the doctor for anything other than an annual physical and labs in several years and only had one mild cold in that time. Prior to that I would catch two colds per year despite handwashing etc. The one cold I did get was following a 3 month stretch when I skipped the ACV.

Airborne sounds similar to Emergen-C. Emergen-C works pretty good, too.

Garlic Soup Made With 52 Cloves of Garlic Can Defeat Colds, Flu and Even Norovirus

50 cloves of garlic, raw.

You’ll be back on your feet like nothing happened by Monday.

Not the Chinese crap from the grocery store, local, organic garlic.

I swear by Emergen-C when I feel a cold coming on, coupled with getting to bed early. At most I endure a mild infection.

The flu is something else. I suggest Nyquil for 8 hrs. of blissful deep sleep to help you recover.

Church of scientology says your sickness is a delusion because your mind is manufacturing it from your imagination which has been corrupted because what you see is not real. Got that ?

To all you TBPers, if you start to get a sore throat, gargle and swallow a Goldenseal tincture mixed with a little water. Goldenseal or “yellow root” is a powerful native plant that will heal you.

Olive leaf extract usually works for most viral stuff. Taken at first onset it usually stops it almost overnight, taken after you’re developed full blown something it shortens its duration significantly. Get the highest Oleuropein strength, brand name isn’t important (and get capsules, never try to use powder unless you have no sense of taste).

FWIW, it only seems to work on viral respiratory tract stuff, it’s worthless on bacterial infections.

IMO and anecdotal, of course.

BTW, Colloidal silver will turn you blue or grey; comment image

1) At least 2 Vitamin C tablets … 500 mg apiece
2) As soon as you get home … EVERY NIGHT … gargle with warm salt water. Nasty viruses nestle in the back of your throat and commence their mitosis (that’s what i’m gonna call it).
You have to kill ’em off before they get a foothold in your body!

In TX middle of Dec and I got a rotten case of a sinus problem – couldn’t stop blowing my nose; stuffed up, else, I was generally OK. I was told it was an allergy from the cedar cones. Took couple of an allergy pill, didn’t do crap. Then took Benadryl pill. Only took a few, every 4 or so hours and dried me up (like Contact).

Got so dry, the bottom of my nose was peeling skin. Hand cream was useless. Then tried Working Hands – didn’t help. Bought a moisturizer, Herbal Essences – just amazing.

Admin, did you get a flu shot recently? Almost guaranteed to give you the flu. I never get the shot and never get the flu. I have been on the regimen below for several years and haven’t been sick at all (but I was always healthy since childhood and hardly ever missed any school days):

2 – 500mg Emergin-c 8 hours apart
2 – glucosamine/chondroidtin/MSM/Hyaluronic Acid combo 8 hours apart (joint flexibility)
2 – 500 mg L-lysine 8 hours apart
1 – Qunol Co-Q10
2 – Cordyseps Sinesis 525mg 8 hours apart (synthetic-oxygenator at the cellular level and enhances libido)
1 – GNC Mega-Mens 50+ Multi-vitamin (just before bed)

I/S

Anon above made a statement that colloidal silver turns you blue………bullshit. Maybe if you used some ungodly amount. Never had a bit of bad effect personally and don’t know ANYONE WHO EVER HAS that uses it. The best way I know to heal a sinus infection.

I spray two sprays up each side of the nose numerous times a day when I have a problem coming on or for maintenance a couple of sprays once a day. The package says 20 sprays for adults.

I didn’t get the flu shot when my doc was pushing it, I guess I’ll wait til Feb.

Did anybody try the music regimen? Frostback’s music compilation should get you up and about if you take that with some (sugar free) OJ and gin. I got that cure from an old white guy.

I/S- I forgot to address your comment about the Airborne being just a supplement. Vitamin C can be taken alone or in combination with other minerals and vitamins. Basically that is ALL that Airborne is , a vitamin and mineral supplement.

Many moons ago I studied all that I could find about Linus Pauling who won a Nobel for his work on curing disease with vitamin C. That is some seriously interesting theory on curing all manor of illness with mega doses of C. So far as the Airborne product goes, I like the taste of the fizzy tablets over just a vitamin tablet.

@Bea: You do know that Pauling got his NobelPrize not for his Vitamin C spleen? In fact his scientific coworkers rised their eyebrows about his “theory” which btw didn’t prevent his death from prostatic cancer.
only for the records….

dors- Pauling lived into his 90’s, it’s difficult to save a person of advanced age no matter what the treatment. I was as interested in Pauling for his work in quantum mechanics as much as the high dose vitamin C research. There is big money in cancer and anyone with alternative treatment is attacked and discredited.

jay- You are correct, it is much cheaper to make your own colloidal silver, I’m too lazy. Amazon delivers to my door ready to use.

You can get Argyria, but you’d just about have to eat, drink, bathe and breathe the stuff. There was a guy who wanted to run for President that got it – he wildly overdosed for months (preparing for Y2K, the crisis that wasn’t) and managed it. 15 ppm once or twice a day will probably never do it – skip to every other week and you should probably still be protected.

Colloidal silver is at least antibiotic and probably antiviral (to some extent) as well. It will typically help skin wounds to heal without scarring, and prevent infections while they do. You can make it yourself with a 9V battery and PURE SILVER wire – not sterling! You can control how strong it becomes by how long you zap the water.

Sorry about your cold, Admin – rest and get better please, we need what TBP does.

Free advice is worth exactly what you paid for it. Nothing.

That being said the best advice is chicken soup made with chicken bone broth. A very close second (because I haven’t actually tried it) is the garlic soup. Thanks for that, HF. Will be trying that some time this week.

For fucksake, Jimbo …. stay away from that colloidal silver horseshit. SILVER IS A TOXIN!!! Next thing you know, those maroons will have you taking some arsenic and strychnine.

As a last resort, take some aspirin, dip it in mercury, and shove it up your ass. That always works for me.

Crush 2 or 3 cloves of garlic and let set for 15 minutes. This releases the allicin content, which is the antibacteria/antiviral agent. Put garlic in a mug, add some raw unfiltered, preferably local honey and warm water. Honey is also anti-bacterial. Drink up.

Colloidal silver spray up the nose for sinus works for me also.

Add to that:
mega dose vitamin C, Olive Leaf and Oregano oil

And as noted above, bone broth – cook 24 hours for chicken and 48 hours for beef.

I guess they put silver in bandaids/ bandages and toothbrushes and all manor of things because it’s a toxin? No, because silver kills bacteria/germs.

Admin

I told my teddy bear wife that you were ailing, and she gave me this warm, fuzzy response, “Tell him to stop sniveling and man up.” Isn’t she adorable? Heh.

On a more serious note, what type of sinus infection do you have? Sinus infections are usually in the maxillary sinuses. I suffered from those for over 20 years. God-awful headaches that would put me down for hours, sometimes days, on end, not to mention the dangers of getting a sinus or ear block if I flew. I got a sinus block once while flying and damn near passed out from the pain. Not good since I was solo.

If it’s recurring maxillary infections from which you suffer, the only lasting cure is surgery which strips the membranes from the maxillary sinus cavities. Not tricky surgery, but you’ll have some swelling and slight discomfort for a couple of days.
