This place is crawling with non-conformists. That really pisses off the owners.

Bea, what they don’t realize is, even when the think they are deceiving us, we know exactly what they’re up to. We might not know the details of the particular case, but they have lied to us and screwed us over enough times to mark our cards so that we never trust a word out of their misbegotten lying mouths.
After a point, all the subterfuge in the world is ineffective. When you prove yourself a con man, everybody expects you to con them and the jig is up. As old Not So Very Honest Abe said, you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.
If they actually were honest a time or two it might actually fool people into trusting them through sheer confusion, but they never are.
In fact, after reading TBP and Zerohedge for years and seeing the analysis and insights of people smarter than I, their behaviors have become very, very easy to predict. Expect abject dishonesty and amoral ruthlessness and you’ll be right every time.
