You’ve got the top federal law enforcement agency, the FBI, investigating a presidential candidate. One will continue to exist way past this election, while the other is expendable and can be replaced. One has a GLOBAL reputation for honesty and competence, built and earned over many decades. The other, not so much. One knows the public outrage that will ensue over any hint of a whitewash, the other doesn’t give a shit.

I have no inside info, but I know how the FBI works from nearly a decade of experience of working with those guys and gals. It is extremely difficult to become a special agent in the FBI, and they are very well trained and dead serious about their jobs, no matter who the target of an investigation is. If the FBI gets enough evidence to charge Hillary with a crime, it will do so. From what I’ve read so far in this investigation, the evidence is there. It’s not a matter of if, but when.
And Obama is unlikely to pardon her. The blowback on the entire Democrat party would cripple it for years to come. However, I do not discount some sort of deal to keep her out of jail.

Why was Brian Pagliano the FIRST person in this case to be granted immunity? Because he set up the private server. Why is that so important? Because it is illegal to store classified government information in an unsecure container. Pagliano’s testimony is bedrock to the case.
Do you have any personal experience with this situation? Yes, I do. In the 1970s, while working at Hqs US Air Force in Europe, I took classified information home with me in my attaché case, which more than meets the definition of an “unsecure container.” Why did you do that? Because the office hours were long, I wanted to spend time with my family, and I caught up on office work after the kids went to bed. Where did you put the classified information overnight? Back in the attaché case, which I cleverly hid under my bed.
Was there anything else in the attaché case? Yes, a delicious peanut butter and jelly sandwich, which I would offer to anyone interested in searching the container. Worked every time. (I’m just kidding here. I never got caught save for ten years later during a CIA polygraph. But that’s another story.)
