The Texas pastor who sued Whole Foods in April for allegedly writing a gay slur on a cake he bought withdrew his lawsuit on Monday and apologized to the supermarket chain for perpetrating a hoax, KVUE reported.
“The company did nothing wrong,” openly gay pastor Jordan Brown wrote in a Monday statement. “I was wrong to pursue this matter and use the media to perpetuate this story.”
Wrong to pursue this matter? He made the entire thing up to smear the company!
“I apologize to the LGBT community for diverting attention from real issues. I also want to apologize to my partner, my family, my church family, and my attorney.”
Whole Foods filed a countersuit against Brown and hasn’t said if it would drop that action now that Brown has dropped his lawsuit.
Oh, you’d like to apologize? How about making whole those who you harmed? That can start with you forfeiting everything you own since your intent was to damage or destroy a multi-billion dollar business with a knowingly false accusation.
What should happen is that the DA should file criminal charges — this was a clear attempt at extortion and there is utterly no reason for this guy to get away with it.

No, It’s Not About BATHROOMS
I took a fair bit of heat when I started raising hell about the entire “push” to “normalize” people’s “feelings” when it came to their alleged “gender”.
A material number of people “get it”, as it’s just viscerally evident to anyone who isn’t emotionally damaged or worse. But there are those who didn’t and don’t. For those who didn’t, or don’t, if you think this was really about what is typically a fairly private function (taking a crap) — you’re wrong.
It was never really about that at all, because law or no law, if you actually perform what is a normally-private function as a private function nobody is the wiser that you’re a man dressing up as a woman. It is only when you violate that expectation of it being a private function that anyone will know. If and only if you do violate such expectation then laws similar to North Carolina’s provide a rational means of deterring such behavior by applying a sanction to it.
In other words if you want to take a crap nobody is the wiser that you have a penis in the woman’s room — provided you appear to be a woman when you walk in and perform the function in a private stall with all of your clothes on until you are behind the door and it is closed. It is only when you expose yourself that there is a problem, but during the ordinary use of a public bathroom you would never do that.
The real issue the screamers have raised was never the ordinary and private use of a restroom. It was and is the use of locker rooms and other similar facilities where by the very nature of their intended use you must walk around with little or nothing on in the way of clothing.
As I pointed out in my previous missive on this issue this means that teen boys will be allowed to use the girls locker room for PE class — where you inherently walk around with nothing on to get to and from the shower, along with your time in the shower, most of which are comprised of shower heads on a flat wall. The local YMCA is probably set up the same way (it sure was when I was growing up!)
Anyone who is a father and thinks its acceptable for a teen boy to waltz into a girl’s locker room, disrobe and take a shower with the girls has rocks in his head. We don’t allow the male coach or gym teacher to do that, do we? Yet there is less chance (not zero) that said coach would abuse the girls there than there is for a teen boy to do the same, never mind that this isn’t really about the odds of abuse at all.
This is in fact about the very reasonable expectation that we clothe our bodies during the time that we are in mixed company and when we can’t be clothed because the function we need to perform while away from our home prohibits it, such as taking a shower after getting hot and sweaty during gym class, we set up facilities so that the necessary discomfort is rationally minimized. The means by which we do this is to have all the persons in there at a given time be of the same physical sex and thus possessing the same set of normally covered-by-clothing body parts.
I am quite certain that nearly all of the teen boys in the locker room will be utterly ecstatic if and when a so-called “boy trapped in a girl’s body” appears in their locker room and takes a shower. I would have been when I was of that age: “Oh look, a real-life Playboy centerfold in front of me!” In fact, I predict that there will be exactly zero complaints about such by any of the boys, although their parents are likely to disagree. Said lack of complaint will almost-certainly be displayed in the form of involuntary erections being sported by basically every boy in there.
By the exact same token I am quite certain that nearly all of the teen girls in the locker room will be ridiculously and outrageously offended if and when a “girl trapped in a boy’s body” appears in their locker room and takes a shower. In fact I suspect that while said “gurl” (really a young man irrespective of his mental state) is present he too will be sporting an involuntary erection while said girls will reasonably believe that there is a materially increased risk that they are about to be assaulted. Indeed, one of the predicates of such an assault (an erect penis) will be on full public display and available for immediate (ab)use.
This is just basic common sense and is why there are single-sex locker rooms — and restrooms.
I will close this Ticker by observing that as a father I believe that during the time my daughter was a minor I had a duty that had nothing at all to do with law and everything to do with that which inherently came with my being a father to protect said daughter to the extent I was able from the the reasonably-foreseeable predatory acts of men who would seek to exploit her femininity and the generally-inferior physical ability to resist that women have over men of the same age and maturity. That too is biology and while there are certainly exceptions in the form of women who could kick your male ass they are notable for the fact that they’re exceptions!
That responsibility is, in my opinion, part of being a father, and in fact it may be the key differentiating factor between being a father and a sperm donor.
This isn’t about “trans rights” — it is about literally sacrificing young women on the alter of political correctness.
