QUOTE OF THE DAY

“Thus did a handful of rapacious citizens come to control all that was worth controlling in America. Thus was the savage and stupid and entirely inappropriate and unnecessary and humorless American class system created. Honest, industrious, peaceful citizens were classed as bloodsuckers, if they asked to be paid a living wage. Praise was reserved henceforth for those who devised means of getting paid enormously for committing crimes against which no laws had been passed.”

Some people may not realize it, but Kurt was a POW, in Dresden, when the city was firebombed. He gave an account of it in fictionalized (as to the identity of the POW) form in his novel “Slaughterhouse 5”.

Reading that, I was shocked to find that the official version of the Dresden raid was a reeking pile of shit. Of course, I was a young man in my teens when I read the novel. It helped me lose the blinders I’d been fitted with by public schools, TV and other propaganda media.
