FM’s Quote of the Day

I’d like to personally thank Stucky and Mr. Gore for inspiring today’s quote. If it wasn’t for them I’d have never thought to post it. Thank you both. Thank you so much.

That post proved that in the end even a curmudgeon can be won over with politeness.

Heinlein wrote a short story (I wish I could remember the name) about some US Star Troopers who sought to take over an alien planet. The troopers started giving the aliens orders. The aliens all decided to ignore the troopers and go about their business, as if the troopers didn’t exist. The troopers then started killing some of the aliens who disobeyed. The aliens continued to ignore them. The troopers then decided to leave the planet because they realized that they would have to kill all the aliens as they would not follow orders. There is some sage advice here – DISOBEY

Sister bluebird flying high above
Shine your wings forward to the sun
Hide the mystries of life on your way
Though you’ve seen them, please don’t say a word
What you don’t know, I have never heard

Starship trooper, go sailing on by
Catch my soul, catch the very light
Hide the moment from my eager eye
Though you’ve seen them, please don’t tell a soul
What you can’t see, can’t be very whole

Speak to me of summer
Long winters longer than time can remember
The setting up of other roads
To travel on in old accustomed ways
I still remember the talks by the water
The proud sons and daughter
That knew the knowledge of the land
Spoke to me in sweet accustomed ways

Mother life, hold firmly on to me
Catch my knowledge higher than the day
Lose as much as only you can show
Though you’ve seen me, please don’t say a word
What I don’t know, I have never shared

Loneliness is a power that we possess to give or take away forever
All I know can be shown by your acceptance of the facts there shown before you
Take what I say in a different way and it’s easy to say that this is all confusion
As I see a new day in me, I can also show it you and you may follow

Speak to me of summer
Long winters longer than time can remember
The setting up of other roads
To travel on in old accustomed ways
I still remember the talks by the water
The proud sons and daughter
That knew the knowledge of the land
Spoke to me in sweet accustomed ways

Francis A Marion

Thank you very much for the shout out.

Unfortunately, I won’t be posting much here anymore. I received a call from the Trump campaign late last night. They are creating a new Cabinet Position and want me to be in charge. Donald is a Law&Order president and wants me to run the CCOP (Copfuk-Citizens-Outreach Program). Of course, I accepted. I told him I can also work similar magic with mooslimfuks and niggahs.

Again, thank you, my friend.

Stucky, I wish you well in the big town, but have to tell you from having just returned from a visit there that the cost of living is enormous. You will need a big per diem added to your salary to hang out with the big boys up there.

I am astonished at what people earn and spend who are part of what we might call “the elite.” Of course, the REAL Elite probably scoff at the people I’m impressed by.

Stucky,
Congratulations on your new position. Mr. Trump couldn’t have picked a better man for the job. Of course I’m dismayed that you won’t be posting as much on TBP, but do drop a comment to us little people now and then.

No. I’m putting you in charge of Joo relations. You should also consider becoming the National Pastor, ….. seeing how much you know about da good book.

Pray for me, bb. I’ll be going to my parents in just a few minutes to work in the yard … ALL day … so many fucking flowers and bushes, and WEEDS ….. and it’s supposed to be near 100 degrees. Pray I don’t get heatstroke … cuz when I work I don’t fuck around, I go balls to the wall, and rarely take a break.

Also, Grog , a newbie, is trying to steal your Village Idiot title. You need to go kick his stupid ass. Really.

The Swedes are a dying culture because they exhibit the opposite of those things Heinlein states.

This is the kind of comedy I enjoy the most. Subtle, yet direct, kind on the surface yet it delivers an undercut that takes the feet right out from under the object of derision.

Thank you very much.
