Johnson and the LP turn into bigger disappointments every day. Looks like I may end up voting for trump after all. I wrote off GJ a long time ago. I’m not enthusiastic about trump, nor do I think he(or anyone else) has a snowballs chance in hell of ‘making America great again’, I just have a genuine fear of killery starting a real war with a real power like Russia that will result in potentially millions more people getting killed. The path of insanity we have been on for the last couple regimes is getting ever more dangerous and destructive, and I’m willing to take trump, warts and all, against what I feel to be a near certainty of killery starting another nasty war somewhere. So far we have been lucky because the countries we keep attacking don’t possess the ability to strike us at home in a significant way, but that’s not the case with Russia and China.
IIRC correctly Johnson carried millions of debt from his 2012 “run” for the presidency. He was originally using the Libertarian Party to avoid having to find real work in the private sector, but this year he basically had to run again to raise money to pay off the last campaign. With the Never Trump movement so desperate to siphon any possible votes away from Trump, it’s clear a deal has been struck with Little Gary which explains his sudden pivot toward Karl Marx.

Even worse than his getting all butthurt about calling illegal aliens illegal immigrants is how he went on to defend Obama’s patently illegal executive order to grant work permits to illegals. And even more worser than that is Guy Benson remaining a Never Trump’er despite knowing that his only two real choices are Trump or Clinton. In 2012 Gary Johnson got .99% of the vote and Jill Stein (yes, she ran then, too) got .36% of the popular vote. In 2016, they’ll each probable double their 2012 vote total. Whoopty-doo.

If TPTB sent Johnson out to steal votes from Trump, I think it will backfire. This exchange with the reporter plays right into Trump’s hand. Johnson is yet another politician who won’t call something what it really is because someone’s feelings will be hurt.
The root of the problem are the bankers. But separate from that it shouldn’t matter, who the president is. The only reason it matters is that the Federal Government and the president have WAY too much power. We need to bring back the 10th amendment and let the states run their own area as they see fit. If California wants to go totally socialist or communist, go ahead. If Texas wants to be totally free, that should be OK too. The main thing, if not only thing, the federal government should do is border control and national defense.
The real root of the problem is the persistent clinging to the idea that there are political solutions.
