SMOKING GUN

I’ll let the folks with more understanding of how these systems function comment on this. Enjoy.

Tom Hartman is a progressive radio talk show host. The other day he was talking about Hitler and the “Big Lie” tell a big lie long enough and the mass’s will believe it.

He then went on to claim that there has been only one instance of voter fraud so far this year and that was a Trump voter.
Then the asshole went on to talk about the big GOP lie about the national debt and how it will destroy the economy.
Back in 2008 he was all about the Bush debt, I was going to call in to challenge him but after 30 min he didn’t have one caller so I switched to Seriously Sinatra.

I’ll give this a shot. In computers, you can represent numbers either as an integer-based values or as floating point values. Obviously, for counting votes you would think the programs would represent the counts with integers. The only reason you’d need to use a floating point representation would be if you were going to adjust the counts by some small fraction, up or down and want a precise answer, and especially if you wanted to modify a bunch of numbers and wanted to minimize accumulated rounding error. You can still multiply an integer value by a fraction and result in an integer value, so I’m not convinced this is the smoking gun that it’s made out to be, since I see dumb shit that moron programmers do all the time. Now if they found the actual code that does the fractional adjustment, then yes, that would be a smoking gun, but merely representing the counts in floating point numbers could just be stupid programming without malicious intent.

Without seeing the source code, it’s hard to say what they’ve uncovered exactly, but any semi-literate software person would be able to point out any blatant backdoors. That’s why we should be using paper ballots, carefully published and audited OR if they insist on electronic voting, then the software should be open source and cyprographically signed so everyone can see under the hood and know what’s running on each machine.

I kind of agree with you… but question your faith in crypto.
codes will always always be broken

An example may be helpful to illustrate what TC is pointing out.

A 32-bit integer has a maximum value of 2,147,483,647 or greater than 2 billion values. There is no need to use any other data representation since this far exceeds the total number of voters and, for that matter, around 7 times the population of the US.

I believe what Ms. Harris is saying in the video is that fractional values are used to target the result they want. For example, when you vote for Hillary, they use the floating point value 1.2 and 0.8 for Trump. Both round to 1. To keep things simple, assume there are only 20 votes. When you tally 10 votes for Hillary you get 1.2 x 10 = 12 and 10 votes for Trump you get 0.8 x 10 = 8. Same total number of votes but different result.

It is not much in the news, any “news” but people have been mentioning
it. It, is the number of missing children, in the USA, every year.
