Question of the Day, Dec 12

Will there be more than 1 defector in the electoral college recording (not really a vote) next week. Or is this much ado about nothing? The best part about this story is that this idiot congress critter thinks the electoral college should block President Trump, yet believes it should be abolished.

A Democratic lawmaker is desperately lobbying the Electoral College to shun Donald Trump, and vote for Hillary Clinton — even though he conceded Monday that the Republican won the election “fair and square.”

The plea from Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) comes a week before the Dec. 19 vote, which is expected to affirm the results of the Nov. 8 election, in which Trump beat Clinton with 306 Electoral College votes.

“We’re 5 weeks from Inauguration & the President Elect is completely unhinged. The electoral college must do what it was designed for,” Himes wrote Sunday night on Twitter in response to Trump’s gripe that NBC “Nightly News” is “biased, inaccurate and bad, point after point.”

In an interview Monday on CNN’s “New Day,” Himes said that Trump’s refusal to say that the Russians hacked Democrats during the election was what prompted his plea to the Electoral College.

“What finally pushed me over the edge was when the president-elect of the United States criticized the CIA and the intelligence community. Can you imagine what the leaders in Beijing and Moscow and Tehran are thinking as they watch the next president of the United States delegitimize and criticize his own intelligence community and stand up for the defense of Russia, one of our prime adversaries,” said Himes.

The Democratic rep said the move would result in “an awful lot of litigation,” but that it was the right thing to do under the system that currently exists.

“The Electoral College, if you read the Federalist Papers and understand why it is there, it is a group of people. It is not an algorithm. It is not a set of ballots. It is a group of people that our Founding Fathers, you know, to whom supposedly we all sort of defer to, pledged the idea that if someone gets elected that is manifestly ill equipped to be president … that the Electoral College can step in,” he said.

Himes, who said the Republican isn’t qualified to be “mayor of a small town in Connecticut,” admitted that “under the rules, President-elect Donald Trump won fair and square.”

But Himes, who wants to abolish the Electoral College, said the only reason it does exist is to prevent someone like Trump from getting into the Oval Office.

The Democrats are pulling out all the stops to keep Trump out, they haven’t given up on defeating him yet and, I think, they have significant support from the Establishment Republicans in doing it.

Just because Trump won the election by the rules that have been in place, and decided the winner since the beginning of the United States, don’t assume Trump will be taking office as President.

I see three things obvious that could be done to steal it from him (and us):
1 An Electoral vote coup.
2 A Congressional Electoral certification coup when they count and verify the Electoral vote (January 6, most people aren’t aware of this procedure).
3 Massive violence before or even during the inauguration forcing it to be postponed or cancelled by use of a declaration of Emergency issued by Obama (effectively leaving us as a dictatorship). (Maybe not so likely since every law enforcement agency in the United States is surely is going at breakneck speed to prevent something like this from happening, but still a small possibility.)

Don’t underestimate Hillary and the Dems, be vigilant and ready to take essential action as is justified by the circumstances involved.

Given how many “mysterious” deaths happen to people Hillary have a beef with and how many death threats we already know about that the members of the Electoral College have received I think we should be very worried.

Talk about sore losers. Isn’t it apparent they’ll do anything to keep Trump out of office? He should deal harshly with these people after his inauguration.

According to a article on ZH today, 10 EC voters say they need more investigation into Russian hacking before they vote. I believe these are an additional 10 on top of the guy who stated he no longer wants to vote Trump.

“They” will not keep Trump out of office. He will be inaugurated on 20 Jan 2017.

I’ve stated on other threads & some of you are probably tired of seeing it but one man could stop all of this.If Paul Ryan would state emphatically that if the election gets thrown into the House he will block all candidates not named Donald Trump it would end this today.
Doing so would only leave the Dems with the option of violence & disruption, which would show their true colors & play into the hands of Republicans.

Let’s see – Trump not only manages a multi-billion dollar empire but he also created it. Obama on the other hand created -NOTHING- on his own – EVER!!. Trump is a thousand times more qualified to manage the country then Obama ever was. Obama was not then, and is not now qualified to successfully manage a 7-11 much less the country. To compare Trump and Obama and then claim Trump is not qualified to be president is beyond ridiculous.

There will be more than 1 defector, but not enough to stop Donald Trump from becoming the 45th president.

Having said this…

Riots. Jill Stein’s recounts. Death threats towards electors. And now, this cooked-up “fake news” nonsense, with accusations (and all without a shred of proof) that Trump won the election because the Russians interfered.

The Democrats and their Republican allies who are opposed to Trump are shameless hypocrites. The media spewed fake news after fake news in favor of Hillary Clinton (a porn actress attacking Trump?), and not to mention the fake news that got thousands of our GIs killed, many more wounded, and hundreds of thousands of civilians dead/wounded in Iraq back in the early-mid 2000s.

They are all corrupt, lying, dishonest, hypocritical usurpers. They speak of the rule of law only when it benefits them.

Trump won the election fairly and squarely. They must accept it. If they go as far as to (I do not write this lightly) assassinate him, or refrain from attacking Trump physically but pull out some dirty trick to keep him out of the White House, there will be hell to pay.

Personally, I think if they steal the election from Trump via the Electoral College, we will end up with a civil war.

I know quite a few people that have their lists and lead ready.

i hold many republicans in particular contempt since they appear to desire either war internally or externally, which could be avoided simply by withholding views, subject with no evidence to back accusations. still trying figure how the russians influenced my vote.
