Not one to mince words, Steve Bannon, Trump’s Chief White House strategist, eviscerated the mainstream media during an interview last night. Commenting on their coverage of the Trump campaign, Bannon lambasted the disconnect of the media from everyday Americans saying, “They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.” Per Axios:
“The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for awhile,” Mr. Bannon said during a telephone call. “I want you to quote this,” Mr. Bannon added. “The media here is the opposition party. They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.”
“The elite media got it dead wrong, 100 percent dead wrong,” Mr. Bannon said of the election, calling it “a humiliating defeat that they will never wash away, that will always be there.”
But that attacks didn’t end there as Bannon went on describe the media as “the opposition party.”
“The mainstream media has not fired or terminated anyone associated with following our campaign,” Mr. Bannon said. “Look at the Twitter feeds of those people: they were outright activists of the Clinton campaign.” (He did not name specific reporters or editors.) “That’s why you have no power,” Mr. Bannon added. “You were humiliated.”
“You’re the opposition party,” Mr. Bannon said. “Not the Democratic Party. You’re the opposition party. The media’s the opposition party.”
Finally, asked whether he was concerned that Sean Spicer had lost credibility with the press after his debate over crowd sizes, Bannon had a similarly pointed answer:
“Are you kidding me?” he said. “We think that’s a badge of honor. ‘Questioning his integrity’ — are you kidding me? The media has zero integrity, zero intelligence, and no hard work.”

He wants to use the government to make money in business while running the government, something you thought Hillary should be jailed for doing.

I see where you’re coming from. Trump’s recent tweet about Manning rattled me a bit. I love that he killed the TPP, is building a wall, is working with the Russians in Syria and isn’t pulling any punches in general, but I’m starting to sense an uneasy feeling within myself about how far he might go. I’m Canadian, so I’m not fearful or worried, but I honestly cannot see how anything short of a full out civil war will “settle” the hostility I’m seeing every day (from both sides). I don’t think many people, even with a group like those who comment here, understand what a civil war means.
No sane, rational human wants war.
But the facts are: Whites are vilified and targeted in America, Christians and Jews are the only religions considered “hateful” all the rest including islam, of all things, are considered quite all right and proper.
Transgender crap and other sexual perversions and deviancies, none of which are remotely beneficial to social cohesion or furthering civilizational principles, are considered extremely important by the Left’s public education arm, and given higher priority than learning history or civics. Oh, and inculcation begins in elementary school.
War is never nice or predictable or desired. But the age-old question remains, would you rather die on your feet or live on your knees?

They need to question alright. They need to question themselves. Telling them to shut up was doing them a FAVOR. He’s advising to be quiet long enough so they can listen. It’s the old “you got two ears and one mouth for a reason” thing. The fact that the media is mischaracterizing his comment and not – even for an instant – taking it to heart is just proof of how out of touch they are. I hope he doesn’t tell them to shut up again. Stop giving them advice. Let them continue their laughable idiocy.
