Is the Russian Government Insouciant?

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

On March 1 the US National Reconnaissance Office launched a spy satellite carried by an Atlas V rocket that was powered by a Russian RD-180 engine.  http://www.counterpunch.org/2017/03/31/the-beneficiaries-of-conflict-with-russia/

The Unites States, an alleged “superpower,” is not capable of putting its own spy satellites into space. The “superpower” is dependent on Russia, which provides the “superpower” with the rocket engines to put up spy satellites to spy on Russia!!! http://www.foxnews.com/science/2014/07/17/us-too-dependent-on-russian-rocket-engines-experts-tell-lawmakers.html

Here we have in Lenin’s words, the Russians selling Washington the rope with which to hang Russia!

Does Russia value a few more US dollars more than it values its national existence? Apparently so.

Do the Atlanticist Integrationists, the Washington funded and supported Fifth Column inside Russia, inside the Russian media, and inside the Russian government, so much desire to be part of the decadent and immoral West that they are willing to sacrifice Russian sovereignty and are willing, like all of Europe, Canada, Australia, and Japan, to be Washington’s vassal? Yes.

What other explanation is there for Russia enabling Washington to spy on Russia and to have the capability compliments of Russia to target Russia with nuclear weapons in a pre-emptive nuclear attack?

It seems Russia is more interested in US dollars and “cooperation with Washington” than in national survival.

Little wonder the neoconservatives believe that Putin will acquiesce in Russia’s demise at Washington’s hands.

Washington’s New World Order of tyranny toward all seems safely on course. Russia is enabling Washington’s dominance by putting Washington’s spy satellites in space for Washington.

Perhaps next Russia will provide Washington with the location of all its nuclear-armed submarines and the movement schedule of its train track-based ICBMs. Why not if it ensures “cooperation with Washington,” apparently the Russian government’s only goal.

Isn’t it amazing. Washington imposes sanction package after sanction package on Russia, and Putin continues to sell Washington the rocket engines it needs to send up its spy satellites!!!!!

God help the Russians.

Clinton sold China our secrets on making hyper-accurate Gyroscopes for their “space program” (think ICBMs) ref. “The Year of the Rat, How Bill Clinton Compromised U.S. Security for Chinese Cash” Edward Temperlake and William CC. Triplett II, Copyright 1998, ISBN 0-89526-333-5, in the 1990s. When the Space Shuttle Program was grounded due to the re-entry break-up over Texas, we paid China to launch our recon satelites for us. We would ship them over on military aircraft prior to the scheduled launches. The Chinese would inevitably find something wrong in the launch sequence that would delay the launch for weeks (wink, wink), whilst their technicians fixed the issue. Meanwhile our super-secret satellite, and all it’s advanced technology, (Thanks Bush) sat somewhere in China, “unmolested.” …After the U.S. Space Shuttle Program was shutdown under Obama, we did not have a means, except via Russian rockets, to re-supply the International Space Station (the one that we spent the lion-share, $$ billions, on to put into orbit) with food, spare parts, or personnel. Then along came Elon Musk, and Richard Branson (aka BIG $$$$$$$$$ Obama Donors) and their private space adventures. Can any one say SUBSIDIZED private corporations, bailouts, TARP, Solyndra, 123, GM, Chrysler…et all? So yeah, Russian rocket motors on our ATLAS missiles, meh, …why not? Globalism, eh? Share and Share alike. We gotts-tah share things so as everybody has the same opportunities, and the world is full of unicorns, and they poop rainbow colored skittles, or some commie clap-trap glitter-turd polishing, (you can pick it up by the clean end) BULLSHIT! Great Article, by the way. It really got me going this AM. Cheers!

I agree, Putin knows exactly what he is doing. Russia has the largest land mass with a small population since the break up of the Soviet Union. Our Western Media likes to say the sanctions are hurting Putin, by they aren’t. Russia is the Country that is best positioned to ride out a crash of the Global Economy. Low Debt, Large Gold Holdings, Massive Natural Resources and a more Advanced Military then we have. While we have been dumping money into weapon systems that don’t work, Russia has been upgrading to weapons that do work.

Excellent point. I hadn’t thought about how resiliant Russia is for a while and you remindered me. I had forgotten how well they overcame their collapse in 1991 and I had read that because their infrastructure was much less sophisticated than USA they were able to adapt so quickly and recover so well. Furthermore, the Russians have been invaded and torn assunder so many times that they have built a very strong national psysche that proves the adage that overcoming suffering makes for a stronger and more resiliant entity.

GW allowed the only company in the U.S. that made rare earth magnets, necessary for cruise missile guidance systems, to be purchased from China. The U.S. is about one thing, money. Everything else is secondary.

On Saturday, the Russian foreign ministry posted on its Facebook page an audio file of the purported new automated telephone switchboard message for Russian embassies.

“To arrange a call from a Russian diplomat to your political opponent, press 1,” the recording begins, in Russian and English. Press 2 “to use the services of Russian hackers,” and 3 “to request election interference.”

A ministry duty officer, who did not give his name in line with official practice, confirmed to The Associated Press that the post was an official joke. http://www.breitbart.com/news/russian-foreign-ministry-poked-fun-at-hacker-scandal/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social

Whose idea was it anyway, to turn NASA into the finest collection of female and minority rocket scientists money can buy?

I would have a strong opinion on this article if I had any idea what insouciant meant.

In every major actual conflict Russia has been on US side. Not, obviously, on those “cold” or “by proxy” wars, the kind of “let’s pretend we fight and justify the military budget on both sides”.
Why do you think Russia will side with Chinese against the US during the next major one.
