Western governments (mostly the US, UK, and France), have been responsible for the deaths of millions throughout the middle east since the early 1900s. Most of this has been because of their greed for oil and the control of these governments by the banking and oil cartels (and yes, the Zionists too, although they are covered by the banking cartels). The end of WW1 and the Ottoman Empire saw rampant imperialism throughout virtually every country that is today’s sources of terrorists. Occupation, propping up of brutal dictatorships/oligarchies, arming of brutal regimes, destruction of sovereign nations, invasions, occupations, murderous sanctions, encouragement of decades-long wars, and the list goes on and on. Viewing today’s terrorism in the absence of any consideration for the actions that provoked it (hint – these acts are NOT about Islam – Islam is just a convenient excuse and a distraction) is to ignore the elephant in the room. NOBODY in the middle east is ignorant of the brutal actions of these nations even if virtually every American, British, and French citizen is kept ignorant of the truth by their government, their government monopoly schools, and their government lap-dog media.

FM, off topic but I wanted to bring to your attention the outdoor products offered by Wiggy’s Inc. http://www.wiggys.com His stuff performs better than advertised. He’ll even make gear specific to your needs or size. Given your climate you’ll want to read up on his Ducksback products. I just received my first product made with it and this stuff sheds water better than an oiled duck and honestly breathes. I have no affiliation with him, I’m just a very impressed, full price customer.

One often repeated testimonial by his sleeping bag customers is that you can literally submerge his sleeping bag in ice cold water in low temps, climb in and be warm in less than an hour and wake up with you and the bag completely dry. I never actually tried that but my brother did last December on his back deck in Boise when they experienced one of the coldest and snowiest winters on record. He was warm in 20 minutes and sleeping like a baby. According to the maker, if my brother had been wearing his fishnet long underwear, he never would have been cold at all.
