Misguided Legislation Is Directly Repugnant to the First Amendment

Guest Post by Jesse

I personally do not boycott the state of Israel, or have any interest in doing so.However, this proposed legislation, co-sponsored by prominent Democrats and Republicans, is a direct assault on the Constitutional Rights of Americans to express their political beliefs.

It also conflates and dilutes the principled stand against anti-semitism and other forms of prejudice, which I strongly support as you know, with economic and political support for a particular government, its political actions and its domestic and international policies. That too carries its own dangers.

It is shocking that this bill has ever gained the traction that it has.

Well-intentioned legislation that extends civil and/or criminal penalties for or against expressions of political beliefs, without reference to an intrusion on the rights of others under the Constitution, sets a precedent that is very dangerous, within the context of an overall erosion of the rights of the individual.

With the ability of the president to suspend habeas corpus, and the widespread surveillance of citizens without due process, the primacy of the rights of the individual in the United States are under assault by government.

It is long time past to take a stand against the creeping corporatism and statism that continues to diminish the rights of the individual against the power of big money and big organizations.

You lost me with “well-intentioned legislation’…No, there are nothing but evil intentions behind this anti-American legislation being pushed by the Israel-First lobby, which has bribed most of Congress….Criminal sanctions for criticizing a foreign government? Jefferson wept….

Personally, I am an Israel supporter. Public discourse should be conducted as it is on TBP. No holds barred. Make a list of the people who support this legislation. They are the enemy.

Maybe they can pass it and raise the punishment to the level of work camps or death. that should solve the issues….

Israel is the one country we should be at war against. It has never been anything but trouble, from when they killed President Kennedy up to the present. The world would be a much better place without that troublemaker. The Romans wiped it off the map. We should do likewise.

Isreal is the only place for a Jew to believe what they want. Most could be on the right. They are among all Jews so no group think.

Contrast that to the American back stabbing Jew. Because they preceive Christians are on the right they will take the otherside.

This is why i support Isreal.

Not surprising…
There are forty or so congresscritters and thousands of high-level policy wonks in the State Department who hold “dual citizenship” with Israel. They are infesting (infecting?) our government and are directing our “foreign policy” to make decisions that are “good for Israel” and detrimental to our United States of America.
In fact, there are sons and daughters of these congresscritters and policy wonks who have bypassed American military service in order to join the IDF (Israel Defense Forces).
If I had my way, I would revoke their American citizenship and deport them immediately.

Its apparent the Jews own and control this country through Congress, media, banks, etc. This potential law is antithetical to the first amendment and our way of life. Ensure those who vote this lunacy are bounced out of office. I’ll be buying and wearing a “boycott Isreal” t-shirt for starters.
