A “Furious” North Korea Threatens “Simultaneous Strike” On Guam By Mid-August

Tyler Durden's picture

So much for Rex Tillerson’s tepid attempt to de-escalate Trump’s “fire and fury” statement.

Moments ago, the state run-KCNA news agency issued a statement in which it cited a commander of the Korean People’s Army according to whom President Donald Trump’s threat was a “load of nonsense,” it failed to grasp the “grave situation,” and said that “sound dialogue is not possible with such a guy bereft of reason and only absolute force can work on him,” referring to Trump’s comments about unleashing “fire and fury.”

Reaffirming its intentions to strike Guam, N. Korea said it is “seriously examining the plan for an enveloping strike at Guam through simultaneous fire of four Hwasong-12 intermediate-range strategic ballistic rockets in order to interdict the enemy forces on major military bases on Guam and to signal a crucial warning to the U.S.” Noting that it is getting exhausted and angry with Trump’s “load of nonsense“, the General said that Trump’s threats are “extremely getting on the nerves of the infuriated Hwasong artillerymen of the KPA.

“The KPA Strategic Force will finally complete the plan until mid August and report it to the commander-in-chief of the DPRK nuclear force and wait for his order” and N. Korea will closely watch U.S. “speech and behavior.”

Turning the tables on Trump’s statement that only harsh language can work on Kim Jong Un, N.Korea responded that “sound dialogue is not possible with such a guy bereft of reason and only absolute force can work on him.

The North Korean statement also says the military action its army “is about to take” will be effective for restraining America’s “frantic moves” in and near the southern part of the Korean Peninsula. Hinting that Pyongyang will continue planning an attack, the General adds that “the military action the KPA is about to take will be an effective remedy for restraining the frantic moves of the U.S. in the southern part of the Korean peninsula and its vicinity.

It said that North Korea will complete a plan by mid-August for the “historic enveloping fire at Guam,” convey it to the commander in chief of its nuclear force and then “wait for his order.” North Korea says it will “keep closely watching the speech and behavior of the U.S.” The army General explains that “this unprecedented step is to give stronger confidence in certain victory and courage to the Korean people and help them witness the wretched plight of the U.S. imperialists.

And, in a surprising tangent, the statement goes so far as to give details of the flight plan its ICBMs will take, which will be right above Japan, hardly a detail that Tokyo will be excited about:

The Hwasong-12 rockets to be launched by the KPA will cross the sky above Shimane, Hiroshima and Koichi Prefectures of Japan. They will fly 3 356.7 km for 1 065 seconds and hit the waters 30 to 40 km away from Guam.

Finally, the KPA Strategic Force said it will finally complete the Guam attack plan by mid-August, so it may be the case that North Korea will launch one if not more Hwasong-12 rockets in the coming weeks.

* * *

The full KCNA statement is below:

Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) General Kim Rak Gyom, commander of the Strategic Force of the Korean People’s Army, released the following statement on August 9:

As already clarified, the Strategic Force of the KPA is seriously examining the plan for an enveloping strike at Guam through simultaneous fire of four Hwasong-12 intermediate-range strategic ballistic rockets in order to interdict the enemy forces on major military bases on Guam and to signal a crucial warning to the U.S.

On Tuesday, the KPA Strategic Force through a statement of its spokesman fully warned the U.S. against its all-round sanctions on the DPRK and moves of maximizing military threats to it. But the U.S. president at a gold links again let out a load of nonsense about “fire and fury,” failing to grasp the on-going grave situation. This is extremely getting on the nerves of the infuriated Hwasong artillerymen of the KPA.

It seems that he has not yet understood the statement.

Sound dialogue is not possible with such a guy bereft of reason and only absolute force can work on him. This is the judgment made by the service personnel of the KPA Strategic Force.

The military action the KPA is about to take will be an effective remedy for restraining the frantic moves of the U.S. in the southern part of the Korean peninsula and its vicinity.

The Hwasong artillerymen of the KPA Strategic Force are replete with a strong determination to fully demonstrate once again the invincible might of the force, which has developed into a reliable nuclear force of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the world, strongest strike service, through the planned enveloping strike targeting the U.S. imperialist bases of aggression.

The Strategic Force is also considering the plan for opening to public the historic enveloping fire at Guam, a practical action targeting the U.S. bases of aggression.

This unprecedented step is to give stronger confidence in certain victory and courage to the Korean people and help them witness the wretched plight of the U.S. imperialists.

The Hwasong-12 rockets to be launched by the KPA will cross the sky above Shimane, Hiroshima and Koichi Prefectures of Japan. They will fly 3356.7 km for 1065 seconds and hit the waters 30 to 40 km away from Guam.

The KPA Strategic Force will finally complete the plan until mid August and report it to the commander-in-chief of the DPRK nuclear force and wait for his order.

We keep closely watching the speech and behavior of the U.S.

The bottom line is that while Trump expects Kim to relent, the North Korean leader clearly has no plans to do that, and demands the same from Trump, which also won’t happen. How this crisis is resolved in a peaceful, diplomatic way under these conditions remains unknown, if not impossible.

Isn’t the US still officially at war with NK?

After reading and watching numerous accounts of some of the people who managed to escape NK, I have to wonder what sort of plan exists to deal with the population of surviving north Koreans? These people are coo coo for cocopuffs to their core having been brainwashed for at least 7 decades. These people believe dear leader in the same way you and I believe the sky is blue on a clear day.

We should start a pool on how many billion dollar bases the US will build in NK after the dust settles. Take a look at the number of modern military bases we’ve built surrounding Iran.

This is something you’re proud of? US imperialism?

We have had a plan to launch nukes at Russia for longer than I’ve been alive. Making a plan isn’t the same thing as executing a plan. So what that NK is making a plan. Who T.Durden peddles fake news.

If they really intend to launch a nuke, why would they announce it in advance? So much for the element of surprise!

Trump issued a warning to NK in a language Kim can understand after his repeated and increasingly dangerous threats against the US and other countries.

I have no problem with this.

Wonder how the world would be different today if Chamberlain had done the same with Hitler?

Can’t we retire the Chamberlain/Hitler analogy? Might as well preemptively attack everyone. Oh wait, we almost have.

Not as long as we fail to learn the lesson of it.

People seem quite intent on repeating history, they should at least be aware they are doing it.

I believe President Trump is being stampeeded into a decision about North Korea.

I do no believe all of these “missile capability” reports that are suddenly being made public.

I believe this is just disinformation being propagated by the military industrial complex to manipulate public opinion to justify an preemptive attack on North Korea (which will be a massive disaster FYI).

We saw the same prior to the USA’s involvement in WWI–with Germans bayoneting babies. We saw the same with the media blizt over the Gulf Of Tonkin incident. We saw it played over and ove again–most recently with Gulf War III and the WMD’s (which never panned out).

These intelligence assesments are being propagated by the CIA and the “Deep State” –who BTW are the same people who brought you the Gulf Of Tonkin, who brought you “babies being disconnected from incubators (Gulf War I), who brought you the intel about WMD’s in Gulf War II.

These are the same insane types who almost propelled this country into a global thermo-nuclear war with the USSR over the Cuban Missile Crisis, standing behind Kennedy and urging him to take overt military action against the Russians, which would have started WWIII.

And we have these same insane, Deep State mili-tards now surrounding President Trump–and again I will bet a steak dinner they are urging him to pull the trigger on North Korea.

The only flaw that President Trump possesses is that he believes that these fools with stars on their shoulders have integrety, are patriotic and are the modern day equilivent of General Patton and Eisenhower…. President Trump could not be more wrong with these beliefs.

If Trump pulls the trigger on North Korea, it will in fact unleash a global war in which the USA and it’s military will sustain massive, horrible casualties.

Yes, the USA will win in the end–but at what price?

I do not believe in these capability assessments regarding North Korea missiles–the information has been flowing too fast and frequently in the past few days in what seems a shaped, determined effort to stampeed both the (non-discerning public, which is most of them) and President Trump.

I believe in the unfolding domestic chaos of war–the Deep State will sieze upon this opportunity to take President Trump out of office.

If the USA pre-emptively strikes North Korea, both Japan and South Korea will be devastated… leading to a global economic collapse which will kick three legs out of our economic table.

China and Russia will most likely become involved–and will unleash tactical nuclear weapons upon our overseas miltary installations. The war will be short (our government will call for an end to hostilities), violent and devastating–with the USA coming out severly weakened and with massive, unimaginable casualties, both military and civilian. There will be no pre-positioning of troops and machines. There will be no tank battles. No infantry engagements. The war will be fought with missiles, aircraft, air-craft carriers (of which we will loose several) and submarines.

I doubt President Trump will come out of the conflict in office or in charge of anything once the dust settles.

This is a massive set-up being perpetrated by the Globalists and Deep State operatives to take down Trump.

Hey, who remembers this? —–> “IRAQ HAS WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION!! RIGHT NOW. REALLY! PLEASE BELIEVE US. WE GOTS GOOD INTELLIGENCE!! WE GOTTA BOMB THE FUCKERS ASAP OR AMERICA WILL BE IN MORTAL DANGER!!!!”

Apparently, virtually no one in America remembers that fucking bullshit lie. No wonder they so easily believe the new lie, except now it’s North Korea.

Do I believe NK has a few nukes? Yup. And it ends there. EVERY other thing the pols/media/military pukes tells us (number of nukes, yield, miniturization ability, etc. etc.) until PROVEN independently otherwise, is a bold faced fucken lie.

The proof is when they use them.

Sort of like someone pointing a gun at you and you assuming it is unloaded till they actually fire it.

The rhetoric coming from NK justifies some kind of defensive response, the same way that guy pointing a gun at you and threatening to kill you with it does.

What that response should be is to be debated, maybe, but whether it deserves one should not be.

The whole Manhattan Project was launched because of disinformation about Hitler’s potential for nuclear capability. In reality, the German scientists were focused on “heavy water aka H2O2” for atom splitting purposes and were years away.

I think the same rotten SOBs running the Military Industrial Complex when I was there are still there. Except now, they have their eye on FREAKING CHINA and RUSSIA. Iraq and Afghanistan were practice for the Big Show.

Edit: Also, there was a complete blackout about nuclear research once the project began. So, the same Russian scientists who had been working with Einstein et. al. on an international basis suddenly were no longer able to talk about the progress the U.S. may or may not have made. So, Stalin gets a visit from one of his Nuclear Scientists who tells him the Americans have discovered how to do it BECAUSE THERE IS NO NEWS.

There is no news.

So Stalin sends spies into the scientific community to find out what’s up.

If I told you I suspect there are drones using cameras out here in the boonies of flyover country, would you believe me? I personally know FOUR people (including self) who were roughly handled by the local police (the young ones are awfully military looking… as if trained in Iraq over people they no longer though of as people). FOUR. In the freedom-loving bread basket of the country.

There is NO NEWS.

You don’t believe those video’s of Kim making the threats and carrying out the nuclear bomb and missile tests are real?

You think that, maybe, they’re being done by actors or something?

FWIW, they’re on worldwide media, European, American, Chinese, Russian, and North Korean among all the lesser mentioned ones. They’re all some sort of conspiracy to deceive the American public about NK and Kim’s intentions?

If you were Trump, what would your response to things like this be?

Two things wrong with the article;

1.. It extensively quotes some General. Pfffft. As if his voice matters. There is only ONE opinion that matters in NK — some fatfuk pimly facced faggot.

2. The General giving all those DETAILS!! hahahaha What fucken General in his right mind gives such strategic/tactical plans to the enemy? None.

The N Koreans aren’t stupid. I think they are playing us …. or, specifically Trump. I bet Kim Dingdong Mentally Ill and his buddies are in some smoked filled back room making bets on which one of their outlandish hyperbolic comments will be the one to actually cause Trump’s head to explode.

Did anyone happen to notice the North Korean statement indicated that their missiles would land 30 to 4o km away from Guam? That’s about 18.6 to 24.9 MILES away! Also, that their missiles would fly 3356.7 km (2085.8 miles) for 1065 sec. 1065 seconds equals 17.75 minutes, or 0.296 hour. According to this, their missiles would fly at 7046.6 mph! If one uses about 750 mph as the speed of sound, then their missiles would fly at about Mach 9.4. Additionally, the distance from Pyongyang to Guam is about 2846 miles. Therefore, it would appear that those missiles would “coast” the rest of the 740 miles to land in the ocean about 20 miles off the coast of Guam. Therefore, does North Korea’s statement make any sense? Just asking.

Ballistic missiles do indeed ‘coast’. It makes more sense to think of them as falling. They go up via rocket motors, then fall back to earth in a ballistic trajectory. No idea whether the numbers make sense, but the rocket motors do not burn for the duration of the flight. Something more closer to half of the flight. The second half is controlled falling.
