Robert E. Lee’s Ubiquitous Presence

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

We are going to have to do far more than take down Robert E. Lee’s statue.

We have to close the US Military Academy at West Point. Not only was Lee a West Point graduate, but in 1962 the U.S. Army named the West Point barracks after Robert E. Lee. Two New York congress persons want to change the name of the barracks, but we can’t be satisfied with half-way measures. The entire institution is tainted. And so is the U.S. Army. We have to close down the Army also.

It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. We have to close Arlington National Cemetery and remove all the burials to another location, because Arlington National Cemetery was Robet E. Lee’s land.

And we are going to have to take down the Washington Monument, because George Washington let his granddaughter marry Robert E. Lee.

Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, has a racially insensitive name and is in need of a name change.

And this is just for starters.

All of the States and cities that were a part of the Confederacy should have their names changed since they all stood for slavery prior to the war.

Just find a different Robert E Lee and say that everything’s named after him. Problem solved.

But being named that in today’s world can actually get you fired.

Just eliminate Andrew Jackson and the party he founded to maintain slavery in 1820.

These leftists are playing with matches. They just might get tens of millions of people in the street advocating the above statement.

Another colossal mess.

BTW, another milky sky today. There was briefly
some sun and even blue SKY! But not for long.
Two layers…way up top, and down low.

Thanks to the person who gave the links to the
Kevin Shipp and the Dane Wigington videos.
Both are great.

Robert E. Lee was asked to head the Union Army. He declined because his state was Virginia. Where you lived meant something then. These idiots who want to tear down statues and rename things need to stop to read a couple books on that era. If they did they might not be as trigger quick to condemn dead people.

More and more this reminds me of a cultural purge ala the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. Not a regular commenter but when I think about the implications of these acts I feel the need to say something. Remember the past.
