It always has that raw, edgy, uneasy feel to it. As if you don’t hurry, something bad will happen.
Maybe this is the long ingrained (pun intended) instinct to hurry and preserve food stuffs, while there’s still time to prepare before the onset of Winter.
This Labor (Labour) Day is an exception, with that uneasy feeling being a little more sharp and acute. We look forward with trepidation and much uneasiness, considering the state of things both micro and macro. For those who stumble along blissfully unaware and ignorant of all except their own little world, their rude awakening will be catastrophic. Many will perish.
There is no control, with the exception of personal control. I control what I do. Even then, outside influences effect the degree of self control I have. So this day of celebrating work and worker’s, has a forlorn melancholy emptiness to it. As the heightened degree of uneasiness leads to a sense of foreboding and trepidation of what the future holds. Harvest well.
