QUOTES OF THE DAY

“I’m living so far beyond my income that we may almost be said to be living apart.”

E.E. Cummings

“You must gain control over your money or the lack of it will forever control you.”

Dave Ramsey

“As it turns out, we don’t “all” have to pay our debts. Only some of us do.”

David Graeber

“A good name is still to be preferred over great riches. Especially it is to be preferred to the appearance of riches, aquired with nothing down and nothing to pay for 2 months.”

Ezra Taft Benson

“‎We must make our choice between economy and liberty or confusion and servitude…If we run into such debts, we must be taxed in our meat and drink, in our necessities and comforts, in our labor and in our amusements…if we can prevent the government from wasting the labor of the people, under the pretense of caring for them, they will be happy.”

Thomas Jefferson

$1 borrowed = $2 (or more) in wealth.
Government need not tax in order to spend.
Consumers need not work in order to consume.

Despite hand-wringing to the contrary, the skyrocketing national debt doesn’t matter.
Despite hand-wringing to the contrary, the jobless recovery doesn’t matter.
Despite hand-wringing to the contrary, flooding the country with job-seekers doesn’t matter, nor does it matter when they invite their parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, and everyone who even claims to be the family cat into the country.

It
Doesn’t
Matter.

Or is this a 36 year (and counting) iteration of Wile E. Coyote running off the cliff and waiting—waiting—waiting—…….before “Poof” gravity re-asserts and he pancakes like an oppossum run over by an 18-wheeler on the desert floor 800 feet below?

Maybe, just once, someone will call me ‘Sir’ without adding, ‘You’re making a scene.’
– Homer Simpson
