I was reading a newly posted article yesterday about Monsanto … Good Lawd Almighty, I LOATHE that company. But, not the most. Sooo …
Q: Who or what is the ONE MOST EVIL ENTITY in America, and why?
— That’s ONE. Not two. Not three. Etc. If you give more than one answer – either in one post, or by sneaking it into additional posts, you will forever be branded as an Ignorant Maroon, or worse, the New Village Idiot.
— Define “evil” however you want.
— “Entity” can be an organization, a person, a company … again, whatever you want.
I’m going with the FDA. Why? Because assuming I average three squares a day, not counting snacks, I’ve consumed about 67,890 meals. There are few things which impact my life more than consuming food. You ARE what you eat … and what you eat, ate.
No government organization is as evil and corrupt as the FDA … AND, one whose corrupt hypocrisy directly affects my well-being. If I were POTUS, I would eliminate that organization on Day One … and them give life imprisonment to many that “work” there, especially the top echelon.
—– The FDA, despite having full access to the studies that were heavily publicized even on mainstream media websites, apparently feels that carcinogenic mercury tainting the food supply is nothing to worry about
—– FDA pushes unlabeled, genetically modified salmon … and virtually every other GMO franken-food
—– FDA allows carcinogenic aspartame to invade food supply. In fact, they hardly have ever met a carcinogetic substance they din’t like.
—– FDA gives Monsanto complete freedom to do whatever the fuck they want, whenever the fuck they want, and TO whomever the fuck they want. Monsanto and the FDA are one and the same entity.
—– A Harvard study with title of “Institutional Corruption of Pharmaceuticals and the Myth of Safe and Effective Drugs” provides evidence that about 90% of all new drugs approved by FDA over the last 30 years have little or no advantages compared to the existing drugs. The FDA and Big Pharma give each other blow jobs daily while fucking up the American people.
—– The FDA literally HATES small businesses … such as those selling eeeevul raw milk or, God forbid, various herbal remedies (that don’t have several pages of horrible side effects that can and will fuck you up, like those from Big Pharma which the FDA has no problem approving).
—– The FDA scientists, regulators, dickfaces, etc. regularly as a course of business, and without impunity, LIE AND FALISFY reports, studies, and guidelines, however it suits them. Employees are known to take bribes. Employees often wind up with very very cushy jobs with the same companies they are supposed to regulate.

I will put my evil bet on the Department of Defense Contracts Division.
Why? Because when Jefferson said a standing military was a grave danger to liberty because it requires a continuous stream of taxes to support it, he probably had no idea of the kind of corruption that could grow from our politicians crawling into the cesspool that is inhabited by Boeing, Northrup Grumman, General Dynamics… among the other slimeballs floating in the swamp that surrounds DC politicos and reaches out to take over every single aspect of the only reason the government should exist: National Defense.
So, yeah… FDA is bad. But, the complete takeover of our national defense by moneygrubbing corporations who buy out the politicians and the military leaders by promising them jobs and high dollar contracts gets my vote for evil.
Because even “good” soldiers are easily tempted to forego their civic duty when they are promised one of those good contract jobs. I’ve seen it happen too many times.
And, if I can piggyback the IAM Union on the back of the Defense contracting industry without having you claim that is TWO, I’ll add those big fat union assholes.

The NEA is the single most corrupting influence on upcoming generations. I agree with Stucky that the FDA is horrible and corrupt, and has caused more death in this country, so his choice is quite valid. I chose the NEA because it actually came to my mind as soon as I saw the question, and while drugs and poison “foods” cause a tremendous amount of misery and death, poisoning the minds of children is what destroys nations and societies.

Outstanding research and an excellent read… question… do you wonder (no sarcasm intended at all) how ANY source of information can be trusted anymore? For every piece of information, you can find an equally opposite, and well argued piece of information.
It used to mean something to “source” information, because sources can be looked up and verified. Now, even the sources we used to be able to trust are controlled by someone’s agenda.
EDIT: Interesting point in the article referenced above about the muslim population in Russia… 10 million. In the United States it’s about 3.3 million, and we have twice the population, so the percentage of muslims in Russia is actually quite a bit more of a problem for them there. I also would like to note that frequently I see articles suggesting that terrorism is a fabricated issue, but clearly they do not feel that way in Russia. Very interesting and enlightening. There isn’t a single internet web site which I trust 100%. The best I can do is grade them on relative terms … I think this one tells the truth 90% of the time, this one 85%, of the time, etc. And that only the ones I visit regularly.
Doing a search and finding a site I’ve never been to before? Yeah, it’s a crap shoot. But, I’ll tell you what I do, especially if I’m doing research for an article. I spend some time reading an article or two .. peruse the rest of the site, to see if … wait for it … if I AGREE with them generally. Yeah, I admit it. Confirmation Bias!! No shit, really. Money is the lifeblood of society. It could be argued that none of these other agencies (all great choices) would have been corrupted (at least so severely) if money were not corrupted first.
The fed is mine as well. I was surprised I scrolled this far down before someone named it.
I haven’t read any of the others that I don’t agree are truly evil, but I believe the fed is the worst because without it none of these other groups or agencies would exist, at least not in their present form. The fed, more than any other entity or group, has enabled the growth of government, and the growth of debt, that allows the entities others have named to have such an obscene amount of control over so many aspect of our lives.
This isn’t two answers, stucky, but i believe deficit spending and intentional inflation to be inherently evil, which are also enabled by the fed.

While Russia doesn’t border Iran (except via the Caspian Sea) they’re pretty damn close. And then there are all those other Muslim nations, former territories, which are on their border.
So, what choice does Putin have? Remember, he must choose what is best for Russia, and not what America wants. His options can be boiled down to two general ones. 1) Be belligerent or, 2) get along … even if it means making compromises, cuz that is the essence of politics.
What would YOU do if you were in Putin’s shoes? Try to push Iran around? Sanctions? Drop bombs on them? Try to overthrow the existing government? These are things that America does. Or, knowing that 13% of your own population is Muslim, and that your borders are lined with millions more Muslims … wouldn’t you choose the way of peace/reconciliation? I think you would. And I think Putin is playing the hand dealt to him in the best possible way.
Indeed. Except I think that cooperation, like you suggested above, or somewhere, between the United States and Russia to help Iran move back toward a more secular society rather than the fundamentalist one they have would be better than what smacks of appeasement. The bottom line is money, and I submit that Putin (even without, and it SHOULD be without) the “guidance” (read intervention) of the United States is benefiting more with the adversarial relationship in place than he would (or thinks he would) with Iran being more secular. If Iran had no allies, or, if the Iranian people were more free, we would all be better off, methinks.
However, I will also admit that the complexity of the middle east political environment is beyond my complete understanding, and that the feuds and rivalries present there now have been going on since nearly the beginning of recorded history. It’s a bitch to undo that.
I also believe that Putin would have a lot less tolerance for terrorism in his country than we have in our own. Which is probably why there is not as much there as might be if he were weak, which he certainly is not. If it were me, and terrorism were a significant threat, I would BURN THEM ALL. I have absolutely no sympathy for an ideology that sees me as nothing more than chattel to be bartered and abused.
I think it would be fantastic if we could consider Russia our allies. But only if both parties preserved limited governments, which historically and currently speaking, appears to be an impossibility.

I’ll likely be forever labeled a maroon, but I’ll chance it to shed some light. Yes, Monsanto was the devil, but I assumed only those of us in the ag industry held those beliefs. Their business model and the way they treated their customers was frustrating, but their products always led the market. Roundup was introduced about forty-five years ago. Only recently has California decided that it caused cancer. Roundup has been under attack since its introduction. Do you honestly think that it’s suddenly a carcinogen after nearly half a century? Roundup changed the ag industry, made Monsanto billions and at the same time cause several other chemical companies to disappear. If you drink it maybe you get cancer, I don’t know and was never that stupid. Roundup (glyphosate) is an ionic charge chemical. Once the chemical is mixed with water and sprayed, it lasts in the environment for only hours. Any chemical mixture that touches the soil is immediately inert and can’t be found. That’s testing at ppm and ppb. It an’t there, period. If you hear someone say it harms the soil, they’re full of shit. Even residues can’t be found, the chemical is no longer anything but stray molecules. I don’t work for Monsanto and gain nothing from them, but the false information that floats around causes me irritation. Someday maybe I’ll try to explain how Roundup replaced the really bad shit, and yes some of the really bad shit was made and sold by Monsanto.
Monsanto is the devil for many reasons. Glyphosate may indeed become inert in the soil, but it quickly binds up in gmo plants’ roots that make it more difficult for the plants to uptake nutrients including minerals.
Monsanto also produces bug-resistant plants, except they are no longer bug-resistant.
Since it is far more profitable for Monsanto to poison our plants with chemicals than to simply replace the lost minerals, this is what they do. The plants are changed to resist bugs, but the plants used to be able to resist bugs before mass-farming.
The soil is so depleted of nutrients and minerals that they use chemicals to keep them fed, but the lack of these minerals make them susceptible to the insects. Now the bugs can resist the chemicals, but the plants STILL do not provide us with nutrition, and now, at an ever increasing rate, they have to use harsher and more modified chemicals to keep the nutritionally empty plants alive and keep the bugs from destroying them.
So, Monsanto is evil #3 (tied with SCOTUS), right behind the FDA and the NEA.

I was interviewed by a NIH M.D. concerning an outbreak of Legionnaire’s Disease, a bacterial infection that only affects males at a FDA lab. 5 males were stricken, I was the youngest. At one point I slept 20 hours a day, took years to recover. The NIH M.D. told me I had Legionnaires and how lucky I was to have been properly treated promptly.
My physician told me a hospital would be dangerous to my health in my weakened state, sent me home to be cared for by the wife. One coworker suffered a heart attack, recovered via intensive care, 3 others recovered from the bronchial infection.
When the official NIH report came out it stated that there was no evidence of Legionnaires.
The NIH M.D. did say during the interview that the reason I did not test positive for the infection was that when the test was taken, the test an antibody indicator, my body had not started producing antibodies to the Legionnaires antigen, it was so overwhelmed by the infection.
These are the folks that are going to call the shots, pun intended, when the pandemic occurs.

Without doubt, the most evuuul thing in this country is the diabolical killer known as the BUNNY THUMPER offing poor defenseless bunnies. Monsanto may kill weeds/grass but bunnies…….that is truly evil. Hi Mags! 🙂

It’s not logically possible to choose any one group, since there’s always X, cause of X, cause of cause of X, etc.
That said, I’ll say, the education system.
No where else do we have such mass scale slavery, torture, dehumanization and trauma.
About a fifth of Americans are current victims. Almost all have been victims at some point. During school, victims are forced to engage in inhumane activities like rote memorization and turbid arithmetic. Valuable time that could be spent enjoying life, learning or being productive is instead spent in the equivalent of solitary confinement. Once it’s over, the trauma remains, producing a despondent country where learned helplessness, makework, drugs and despair reigns supreme.
Regards Monsanto: I do believe the Monsanto’s where slave traders headquartered in New Orleans, if my memory is accurate.
This additional offense makes them doubly evil!

Demonstrations of indecency, movies of decadence and depictions of perversion all on the silver screen; along with the “normalization” of behavior that once would get you burned at the stake, if you were lucky.
