I was prompted to write this article after reading the comments on Stucky’s Sunday Sermon from Indentured Servant and T4C. Both of them expressing the desire upon death NOT to go towards the Light in order to escape reincarnation back into this “prison planet”. Now, if Stucky is allowed to stir the pot on this site using the “Good Book” as his stick, I am going to use some new age teachings and Gnostic scripture to do the same. Atheists can leave now, and arm themselves for death with “The Way Things Are” by Lucretis.
It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. With the many ghost and haunting programs on TV, I’m sure most of us have seen mediums, exorcists and ghost investigators instructing the ghosts to go towards the light and leave the haunted residence. In the many books about near death experience, we have heard descriptions of the tunnel of light or white light with descriptions of deceased relatives beckoning the recently deceased to enter.
In the Tibetan Book of the Dead the recently deceased is instructed over and over again not to be afraid of the bright white light and to go towards it in order to be delivered from the cycle of reincarnation. If the deceased goes to the lesser colored lights they will be reborn in different states of existence. So from the above sources the message is: GOING TOWARDS THE LIGHT IS GOOD.
There is however, a contrary instruction popularized by Cameron Day in his articles “Why I Am No Longer a Light Worker” and “Tell the Lords of Karma that you are Sovereign” and by an ancient gnostic scripture known as the “Pistis Sophia”. If you are interested, I would suggest reading the articles. The Instruction is to NOT enter the light and don’t listen to any judgements of beings you meet there. Demand that you are sovereign and contain the Spirit of the Aeon Sophia and are not bound by any karma or contracts and wish to return to the Pleroma from which you came. In other words, if you enter the light you will be judged and then coerced or forced to reincarnate back on this prison-planet or a hell world and have your memories wiped clean. It is known as the “White Light Trap” in new age circles. Message: GOING TO THE LIGHT IS BAD.
Those who go towards the light and judgement:
“Now therefore, if the time of that man is completed, first cometh forth the destiny and leadth the man unto death through the rulers (archons) and their bonds (contracts they made with the archons before reincarnating) which they are bound through fate.” … And the Virgin of Light sealeth that soul and handeth it over to one of her receivers and will have it cast into a body which is suitable to the sins which it hath committed.” – Pistis Sophia – G.R.S. Mead pg 184,185.
Those who don’t enter the light and demand sovereignty:
“Therefore then at every time when he shall speak the name of that mystery, he will save himself from all that is appointed him by the Rulers of Fate (archons). And in that hour he will come forth out of the body of the matter of the rulers, and his soul will become a great light stream, so that it soareth on high and penetrateth all the regions of the rulers (archons) and all the regions of the Light, until it reaches the Kingdom (Pleroma). Neither giveth it answers nor apologies in any region at all, for it is without tokens.” – Pistis Sophia –G.R.S. Mead pg 181
Question: So when you die IF you see a bright white light are you going towards or away from it?
Nick had an experience as a child where he almost died and went through a tunnel toward a light. He wasn’t given a choice. He was pulled back by his mother. He says he just thinks he came to… his mother didn’t find him. Perhaps whatever was IN the light rejected him.
When you’re in the tunnel, the light coming towards you is a RR Locomotive.
Of course this is bullshit. Since all the people who wrote this were alive it’s just fantasy. I think it’s natural that most anybody over 40, wouldn’t want to repeat life again, really it’s like a life sentance. So ‘wise men’ who want to control followers, make up this bullshit, to keep them coming back for even more of this wisdom.
After you die, you no longer have any choice about your future. Your judgement is already fixed by they way you have lived your life and your state of grace at death.
I want to go toward Jesus. He was one of the most inspired men of the Loving God ever. The OT prophecies such a man many times and even if Jesus made a effort to satisfy the prophecies, they still came true. I believe the four Gospels do contain some Superman Myths but that does not mean all the stories are myth: the Holy Shroud and Facecloth verify the Crucifixion accounts. Jesus was probably 100% a man (Son of Man, Servant of God) but is now God’s Right Hand man in Heaven.

Oh Dear Anonymous, you may never have been more mistaken; I equate Jesus to God and Mohammad to Satan. Christianity is the Religion of Peace; Islam is a cult of many demonic deceptions for Incorrigible Barbarians. Of course, nominal Christians are not Saints and nominal Muslims are not Devils. So, I would hope there’s a way to fucken know WHAT KIND of light I see; godly or demonic? If it were not revealed to me, I’d roll the dice and go towards the light. I’ve never heard the version of the psychedelic anecdote where it was possible to choose Holly Golightly, or not. The compulsion toward socialanimalight has always been implicit in the stories I’ve heard.
But I’m an anarchon. And the time I “shoulda’” seen the light, I didn’t. Didn’t see anything.

This Earthly plane is but one of eleven. Eleven is a sacred number because of this.

I typically swim against the tide in life. It’s worked well so far. I’ll probably run smack dab into a wall in the darkness but nothing ventured, nothing gained right!
I was hoping when the mailman came to be going towards the maple syrup, but,
alas… the truck came, stopped and moved on down the line without bringing a gallon jug to my door.
Someone asked the other day about our “river rock walkway.” Well, my dear Nick determined, wisely, that even as smooth as those rocks are worn by the old creek beds in which we found them, we would probably not be best served to walk on the uneven surface in just a few years. So, as you can see, I am getting the stairway to heaven.
Tomorrow, our mail-lady can bring the jug up to my door in style. I have a jar of pumpkin pie for her. And some deer sausage. LOL

The steps coming up from the driveway lead to a kind of porch off the porch, for viewing the amazing view we have I suppose, but also… to add a gate to step onto the lawn at some point. It is quite the structure my Nick has added.

Worlds of matter are school. Death is graduation day. On the other side you decide if you are done or if you go on to grad school. Life is also sometimes Soul’s playground. But those Souls have to return.

No worries about knowing whether to go to or away from the light. Because we (Christians) will know even as we are known. For the rest there will be directions given so you will know exactly where to go.

I’ll have to go and read those posts, but if you read Michael Newton’s books on “life between lives”, you choose your next life (and your death) which is well planned out before coming back to this prison planet. Of course free will can alter your plan and your death, too.
Fascinating stuff to ponder. Some decide not to return and prefer to remain in their spirit form (which is our true form–we are only temporarily in human/physical form during incarnations). Some return just for the physical pleasures (food, sex, and other sensations not available in spirit form).

If you’re past this B.S. when you cross over, then you’re ahead of the game. I went there briefly when I drowned in 1978. What I experienced was an end to the pain of my physical body, an overwhelming love and knowledge, along with total freedom to explore whatever I wanted in the cosmos. When I was called back it was an intense pain to re-enter my body, and it took forever to recover.

Near death experiences are not death, they are the experience of being alive but near death.
There is no logical reason to believe what you experience while still alive but nearing death is what you will experience, or not experience, when you are actually dead.
Great question Diogenes. Something that I have never considered. After thinking about it off and on throughout my day, I would say that I will need to see what kind of vibe I get from the light. Maybe I won’t trust it or maybe I will.
That said, I believe that what is referred to as the light is actually just dimethyltryptamine released from the pineal gland as part of the dying process. No good or evil involved besides what I bring to the party. No outside entities trying to influence me or sway my decisions. It’s all on me.

How it is that synchronicity strikes me once again. Just in Glasgow en route to Dublin for a couple of days. I have to say that Isle of Lewis is a masterpiece of Lord Odin’s creation.
The reason I was there is because I lost a bet to complete writing of a book which will be titled oddly enough”Running to the Light”. I could go into greater detail but for now I will just say I am always amazed at how the earth moves and the worm turns.
I did make it out to see the Callanish Stones.

These stones rival Stonhenge and likely mark time and the seasons using the sun. So even upwards of 5000 years ago man yearned as we do to go towards the light.
