Who do you fear more walking up the street towards you, a random pedestrian, or a police officer?

i live in NYC police here are fairly chill. I have no apprehension seeing them unless they have a gun drawn. I am an oldish lady not likely they are after my ass.

As the pictures suggest it depends on the surroundings. In my neighborhood I’d shun the cops more. If I’m in Detroit or Baltimore or south Atlanta after dusk I want to be with cops having SWAT experience riding in an M1 Abrams tank with access to air cover.

Since you fear cops more where you live, CC, you need explain where you live and WHY you fear the cops. I’ve lived in 9 states and 6 foreign countries (5 of which were Third World) in both urban and suburban settings. Never have I been concerned about cops, only shady-looking characters. Are you shady-looking? Heh.

Also I don’t give a shit where you’ve lived and what concerns you. If someone told you I was writing your biography they were taking you for a fool.

Answer the fucking question, dickweed. Where do you live and why do you fear the cops there?

Stick your homework assignments up your ass. I live in the path of sherman’s march. I don’t need any exercises on state actors worship, I know what happens when the state tires of your ‘rights’ and/or deems you to be “shady-looking”.

Besides, I wrote ‘shun’. That doesn’t necessarily denote fear. It may also denote disgust; as in to shun a fool. Which is why I will now shun you.

Well, having had random negroes pull a big ass chrome pistol on me and demand all my money, a paltry 2 dollars, i am rolling with random strangers of color. Cop has never scared me. Why would they?

You posted several pictures … so, I am with CCRider. It all depends on the context/circumstances/surroundings.

Normally, I fear nothing. I am the one who knocks.

But, seeing that gaggle of kneegrow utes, I would at least cross over the other side of the street. If I see a copfuk, I just offer him a doughnut, and I’m good to go.

Unless I see some sign that I should fear someone…..anyone walking towards me, I don’t fear any of the above. Context matters though and I try to always avoid situations where the context should cause me some fear.

It depends on if I am holding or not. Just kidding. Back in 73 or so, my best friend at Emory and I went downtown to Manuel’s bar, a known hangout of politico’s and opinionators. He is a son of a SAC pilot like me. We had our beer and went back to my 64 Corvair. Two black guys asked us for a ride. Joe was in his rebellious stage to his first generation German parents and voted democrat just to piss off his grandparents. He is now right of Attila the Hun and thinks uncle Adoof didn’t go far enough.

So we lets them get in the back seat. One of the dudes asked if we had change for a dub spot ($20). I knew we had made a mistake… I quickly said no, man. I got 6 bucks and some change. One of the dudes looked at the other and said, “Here, you keep this” referring to a pistol he had in his hand.

As a rule I always glad hand a cop or give a hat tip. Unless they work for the prosecutor.

Think hard, Susie. All cops work for the prosecutor. No exceptions.

I was referring to a certain fundamentalist dinosaur who has had it out for me for 35 years because of something my ex wifey did. And Andy of Mayberry never appeared with a prosector to my knowledge….

They made me surrender my weapons but not my pen or computer which is mightier than the sword of Damocles hanging over my head.

I’m weary of just about everybody on a crowded street, then again I don’t live in a urban city either so I’m already apprehensive about crowds and the noise.

If I see a cop coming towards me I try not to make much eye contact, maybe a nod, if I see the average looking citizen I just watch them, a hot chick my eyes are all over them, if a pack of utes are near my hand is by my CCW and I have a case of the whistling sphincter.

What color is the pedestrian?

A black pedestrian is statistically more likely to be a problem than a cop.

I live in a relative Whitopia and I carry. I fear neither. But when I visit a vibrant city that doesn’t recognize my CCW, I don’t fear cops, but I do avoid anthropithecus africanus.

If it walks on two legs and is over age 6, it’s a potential threat.
Clothing is just another consideration when analyzing the type and level of threat.

Fine with the cops here (and the general population for that matter) but then I deal with them in business daily. Most are decent people, some are more jaded than I am and pretty fun/funny to talk to if you take the time to listen.

Cops in Africa make me nervous. They like to be paid for doing their job. Constantly. I guess the up side is the corruption is honest. 🙂

Copfuk walking down the street, not so much. Copfuk following me in my car, absolutely, especially late at night or if driving through some little town.

Twice this year I’ve bought 2 different cops their lunch when they were behind me at a fast food restaurant. Both were very appreciative.

It surprised the hell out of my 23-year old son the one time he was with me.

I’ve been assaulted many times by Blacks but only once by a Cop (may God bless them) and that was in 1974 while touring Times Square awaiting a flight to London and stupidly stopped to observe two NYC Cops beating some guy with their Billy Clubs in the fetal position just off the sidewalk. Bad Cops are not New England’s only stupid problem.

My Socal environment means I strategically do my consumer missions with heightened situational awareness. I regularly encounter homeless people, some of whom are mentally deranged, none of whom I allow within 6 feet of my person. Cops don’t bother me unless they’re foaming at the mouth with a gun drawn. In that case, I would be ducking.

Sadly we can no longer trust police and the system they support and protect nor can we trust a group of do rag wearing black males with a racist attitude towards white people . Baltimore City police harassed a young couple that got lost attempting to leave the city after a ball game . One wrong turn and the black female cop assumes they are looking for drugs not a quick route to the interstate connections of 95 or 83 they wanted to return to PA that night after the game and instead of directions they got a smart mouth nigger with a badge !

In my small town, I know most of the cops so I don’t fear them. Plus, they’re too busy with speeding tickets, DUI and possession of drugs while driving, which adds to the town’s revenue.
When I’m walking, I fear blacks only. Usually, I don’t know them, even though it’s a small town.
If they’re white, I may not always know them, but I judge them by their look as to whether I should cross the street or not.
When I’m walking my huge dog in the evening, I fear no one.

This all comes down to where you live… If you live in cupcake land (small towns/suburban/rural areas), then yes many (but not all) small town cops are overzealous in applying their authority, treating every traffic stop as if it was a felony. If you lived in a urban area, adjoining a ghetto (and not every city neighborhood does, some being much more upscale), then you look upon the police as the last line of defense against unprovoked afro american aggression.

In cupcake land they worry about car stops, in the cities we are more concerned by the effects of real violent crime. Afro americans kill more American residents than all other groups (thats includes cops, and even terrorists). This is not some school yard fight, or bar room brawl, in the city a physical confrontation can frequently lead to somebody going to the hospital (or the morgue). The consequences are more severe.

The problem with these libertarian cupcake cop haters is that they want to hold a collective guilt accountability (a tool used by leftist) against every city cop also, who have nothing to do with what small town cops do. City cops do not know every small town cop in the world, nor are they present during all their actions; and even in small towns, each individual cop should be responsible for their own individual actions (not collective guilt). Many Lew Rockwell libertarians do this to pander to the Left, and BLM, so they can giddily say “oh look at me, I am oppressed by the police too” … how pathetic (while their fellow citizens suffer from the afro violence, that BLM endorses).
