That is a damn good idea. I’ll see what I can do and update if I get a positive response.

Folks, there are still plenty of US made goods out there. Seek them out..

Also, support your local HSF. They are not going to get rich doing what they do. They need whatever support you can give them. Buying from them, and not from the vampire squids that rip them off, will help the entire system.

WIP, good job. I stopped posting those type links because I felt I was beating a dead horse. It is worth another attempt.

Shouldn’t you be buying Australian now?

I do when I can. Oz produces little I need. Beer. Wine. Whisky now that is pretty good. Meat. Produce. No cars. Little clothing. Few appliances.

Australia mines, farms, and has service industries. Thank goodness for mining, especially, or it would be screwed.

No shit about supporting your local HSF. My wife and I buy very little pre-packaged/just add water/heat and serve phood. Practically none in fact. We buy locally grown/raised food almost exclusively and use that to make just about anything our hearts desire. We cook for 4+ and use leftovers for meals at work.

It’s much harder to do with clothing and other goods but you can avoid buying quite a bit of foreign made crap and even big corporate made/sourced crap if you redefine “needs” and reduce “wants” while getting out of debt. I speak from experience.

While I commented earlier that most people live paycheck to paycheck and shop price, I’d like to help out, but I’m 77 years old and have few needs. I live in the desert and wear shorts, T-shirts and sandals practically year round. The sandals last about a year and he T-shirts and shorts can last 4-5 years. I shop every week at Walmart, for food and sundries, which I’ll admit, I don’t know where they’re made.

I don’t blame you. The life you describe is making me a little jealous though. Sandals and T-shirts year round doesn’t sound too bad to me.

Back in the day, I shopped at Good Will for furniture, kitchen ware, picture frames and clothes. It’s amazing the things people will give away to these places, especially in upper income areas.

I would wear sandals and Ts year around where I live, except for the motherfucking deadly snakes.

Jeans and boots are de riguer around here, as they offer pretty good protection, given the short fangs – around 1/8 inch – they have, which are not hollow like a rattlers, but rather are grooved. Jeans collect a lot of the venom that flows along the grooves, and boots are often just thick enough. Most deaths are from bites to the arm and hand, as legs are pretty well covered around these parts. Gotta be careful where you reach in.

I hates the bastards.

“They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them.”
—- Mark 16:18

You’re an Injun heathen, right?

If you would just convert to Christianity, you wouldn’t have to worry about them damned snakes.

Those snakes in Mark are Christian snakes. Australian snakes are Mooslim, and cannot be trusted, even if you are Mooslim.

Not that I am aware. Choctaws are predominately Christian. Indians have an affinity with the land, traditionally.

Don’t know where you live, but I’ve been here in the East Valley of Arizona for 6 years now and I have yet to see a snake or a scorpion, except for the dead scorpion I found in my bathroom 12 hours after I had some Mexican house cleaners almost a year ago. I’m sure they planted it because one of them probably has a cousin that’s an exterminator.
