I have always been puzzled why the left, liberals, whatever they are called today hated Nixon so much.
Looking at the facts and just the facts of his administration, he is one of the most progressive presidents ever. Signed into law most of the civil rights acts, created the EPA, instituted price and wage controls, took us off the gold standard giving the fed unlimited spending. These are just some of the things I remember off the to of my head.
gotta go back to the beginning of his political career in the early ’50s–
his 1st campaign was against a far left dem woman and he was merciless in his winning campaign–
he was also a big supporter of joe mccarthy(who has been vindicated and proven correct but you’ll never see it in the mainstream media) and the media hated all the senators and congressmen who outed communists wherever they could find them–
edit–regarding why they do not like him because of the progressive way he governed,no matter how much mccain and lindsey graham appease the left,will they ever be accepted by the dems or the media,or will they always be stabbed in the back after they are no longer useful to the left?
Totally forgot he proved them wrong on Alger Hiss.
