When I was a kid I used to use Japanese pachinko game balls with my wrist rocket sling shot. 11mm diameter, 5.75gm steel balls can kill someone. Arm the kids with those. The wrist rockets are foldable so fit in desk or pocket easily and don’t violate the no guns in school laws.
