For almost 20 years now I have been aware and amazed at how cops in SE Asia outclass and are so much more professional than their cowardly counterparts in the US. In Asia they really are ‘peace keepers’ and are respected by most. US law enforcement agencies attract the worst and lowest IQ dregs of society, dregs that have serious power and control issues, and then they are trained to be cold blooded unthinking revenuers/enforcers that quickly develop the “it’s us against them” mentality.
Khmer douche, they are not cowardly. Any organization or group will have its share of assholes but the fact that you have as much safety in the place you live is in large part due to cops.
No, you share this to show the difference between what used to be “peace officers” in the US and the current crop of government thugs who “enforce laws.”

From my personal experience, the Thai people are wonderful. I spent some time in the Land of A Thousand Smiles and have had a couple of Thai girlfriends stateside. It is true: you can feel the love.
I think it has much to do with the Buddhist faith and culture.

Mr Lib, I was addressing a couple of morons who admire Hitler and wish the US could be Nazified. They are apologetic about their offense to WW2 vets but nevertheless insist that Hitler was on the right track. Maybe that is the solution to a few things but the boot would definitely follow.
It’s hard to let go of childhood fairytales. Separating tvland from reality is like separating flyshit from pepper but you have to be able to tell the difference. I sometimes wonder why I write stuff like the tvland long comment of a couple of days ago. I should stick to cheap insults as Fleabo says. It seems folks have more of an appetite for bullshit rather than truth.
